Hotel is in construction, but is ok for now.

Cons: The breakfast.
Location: Location is just perfect.
To sleep and rest is ok. The breakfast is included in the price but they need to improve the service.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel. We have done some tremendous upgrades to the property with new wood flooring in the rooms and major upgrades to our pool area, come and enjoy our property this summer for a beautiful pool area.

Terrible

Very unpleasant staff. I had to check out after 7 hours after paying for four nights. I understood the charge for one night since I DID stay for seven hours. When I went to the desk to check out and face the possibility of a cancellation fee, they shocked me by refusing to refund the additional three nights. Even though I only stayed 7 hours. You be the judge.

Terribly sorry that you do not like our cancellation policy, we do offer two types of rates flexible and non-flexible. The flexible ones are a little higher but you have more options to cancel versus non-flexible which is a heavily discounted rate but does not offer a cancellation. As a guest if you are unsure of how many nights you may need, you should always choose the free cancellation rate. Thanks!

The Guest Lodge

Pros: The location was good.
Cons: A good maintenance program.
Location: The location was good and food places were near.
Room was okay but the cold air was blowing under the door and the lavatory drain was not properly working. Someone was banging on something with a hammer at 5:00 a.m and the trash truck was beeping while backing at 6:15 am. The ice maker nearest our room was not working so we had to walk across to the other unit for ice. The staff did not seem surprised when we alerted them to the problems. Seemed to need a lot of updates in general.

Dear Guest, Thanks for the feedback. $180 later our ice machine was fixed the following morning, we don't like when this gives our guests a hassle that is why we have 3 ice machines located on our property. We have had a conversation with our neighbors to have their trash picked up later in in the day and they are working on it. Thanks for your feedback.

An older, but very clean, property

Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and very clean
Cons: While the sound isolation between the rooms was very good, the sound isolation from the front wall left something to be desired.
Location: The trip destination was Dahlonega, Gainesville was closer to Dahlonega than Helen, and the rooms were less expensive.

The heater air conditioner controls were unreadable and badly damaged. The toilet didn't flush right, needed adjustment.

Dear Guest, Thanks for the feedback, our old AC's are scheduled to be replaced in November, they would have been done by now but we did not get the product in time. Nothing Spectacular

Location: Good location though for local conference that was held.
The ladies at the front desk weren't helpful nor friendly. Would not give me a receipt. Emergency came up and I had to check out a day early and refund wasn't given the for last day. Included Breakfast was good. The room wasn't exceptional, but was sufficient for my purposes. Online photos deceiving. I actually drove past it, thinking surely this can't be it.

I am sorry that we could not give you a receipt. A receipt is provided to you via Expedia. Glad that you found the room to be sufficient for your stay. Not quite sure about the photos being deceiving, our rooms are better than the photos we have.

Pretty good but..

From check-in, I had a surly girl with green hair. She was polite enough but not very friendly. My room was great, spacious with a desk and sofa bed. Obviously the cleaning staff tries to cut corners bc I had A shampoo. Yes, one half-filled mini bottle of shampoo plus your usual soap. The shower was at most a gentle rainfall that needed a safe cracker to find the perfect temperature between boiling me to a medium well or freezing me for posterity. I had the room next to the lobby and it had a connecting door, why? I have no idea but I woke up at 2:30am the last night I was there, when I had to be up at 4:30am, to a blaring TV on the other side of the door. The pool area was dirty with towels and debris on the floor, which was not inviting. The morning I went to check out at 6:00am. The lobby was locked so I had to slide my keys in the night drop. Why is there not someone on duty 24-7?? What if I lost my keys or had another emergency?! Overall consensus, if you're looking for a cheap motel, this is one of the better ones.

Thank for noticing that the room was very clean and comfortable. Our lobby is open 24-7 and the night person may have stepped out to walk the property which we do every few minutes, that explains the lobby being locked at 6am. We look forward to having you at our hotel in the future.

I was impressed with a simple minimalist thoughtfully done room. No excessive furniture in the room, room was large and clean.

Great value.

Caught Expedia sale on this place for $56. Clean room. Clean pool. Hotel staff nice. Not much effort put into hot breakfast but you can't have everything.
