cockroach motelPosted Aug 13, 2017 on Hotels
omg where do I begin. it was the cheapest hotel in Gainesville and you def get what you pay for. I nearly walked out and didn't care if I lost my $. So gross, room smell was disgusting, my luggage, clothes and body stunk from it all the way home. cockroaches in the bathroom, filthy filthy filthy. mold all over the shower, curtain etc. I'm sure there were bed bugs. ac unit was untouchable. I only stayed bc sheets looked washed and clean. rest of room was disgusting. I thought I was dirtier after the shower! the epitome of a sleazy cockroach motel. And I normally stay in low end motels. but this one yikes! tho the guys at the desk were very nice. I didn't complain tho, what would be the use they know they own a disgusting motel, prob just waiting to be bought out. There was brand new Hilton Home2 across the street and others. the standards can go no lower than this motel. they shouldn't charge more than twenty bucks for this dump.

Needs some service attention.Posted Jun 16, 2017 on Hotels
Ceiling leaking in bathroom pretty badly. Flat sheet used on mattress instead of fitted sheet - so falling off sleeping on half exposed bare mattress - weird.

Scary...weird.Posted May 18, 2017
OLD building. People standing outside their rooms smoking and drinking. Checked in at 11:30pm, so there's that. Staff was nice but took forever to check in, hand typed everything out. Room was not clean, walls dirty, bathroom edges dirty, pictures are not accurate. We had a patio table as a side table. Cheap but not worth it.

The place if you really really need to save moneyPosted Apr 10, 2017 on Hotels
My first impression was awful. I got in at 10:45 pm. The door was locked, and I rang and rang until quite some time later ( at least 10 minutes, thought it felt a whole lot longer) the night employee came out. He spoke to me through a small hole in the galss window while I waited outside. I could not hear him which made a very long check-in much longer. And he treated me like an imposition. The hotel was somewhat shabby, with peeling paint, areas of questionable cleanliness and a very mild mold issue in onecorner of the bathroom..The pillows were thin and lumpy and the towels thin and skimpy. On the plus side, the linens were clean, there were no bugs, the wifi worked great, location is good and the Thai restaurant attached to the hotel is quite tasty. When I got to my room I wrote a review similar to the above and the next morning the manager came to my room to apologize for my disappointment andfor the problems at check-in. He offered me monetary compensation which I refused. But I did feel better in that it shows that management is concerned with customer satisfaction. if you are looking for a budget hotel, this is about as "budget" as you are going to get in Gainesville. The location is convenient to most places, and it is clean enough that you don't have to worry about being bitten by nasties. The other guests were mostly pleasant, and I felt basically safe.
