Needs some maintenance

The A/C rattled all night. Every time you rolled over the bed creeks. The toilet was not bolted down tight to the floor. When you flushed the toilet it would pull the water out of the sink trap and then the bathroom would smell like a sewer. On the bright side, the staff were great and the breakfast was good. A little basic maintenance and I would have rated this hotel a 4 or a 5.

Run down hotel

Arrived late at night, staff pleasant and checked us in. Lobby was dated and worn looking. Sent to a room that had trash on floor and dirty linens on chair with no linens on bed. Hallways dirty and with mildew odor. Returned to front desk and assigned a different room, but after this room was checked first by another staff member first and found unacceptable were changed to yet a third room. The safe in this room had no door, there were 3 towels for 4 people, and shelving was missing from bathroom wall, only bolts left in the wall. Staff did get us another towel... We checked out next day and went to a different hotel.

Musty

Very nice staff but it had a very musty, moldy smell. We were glad we only had to stay one night and that our room didn't have carpet. I'm wondering if the hotel recently flooded from the hurricane.

Pros: The front desk staff, the housekeeping, kitchen, & the maintenance staff were ALL professional and worked really hard under difficult circumstances.
Filled to capacity with anxious guests, the staff here did everything possible to be helpful, calm and serve us well. They explained details of the facility and surrounding area. They kept the service personal and I was impressed with their demeanor and patience. Made it oh-so-nice. I would definitely return!

Not a clean hotel

Hotel is just not clean, smells. Found a roach in the room.

old and run down

Cons: condition of hotel and grounds

needs a whole lot of TLC, great location overlooking lake with a nice pool. BUT, inside and outside of hotel are shabby. the elevator areas are crowded with gross couches and tables, the elevators are filthy and very rickety. the grounds are not well manicured, planters hold no plants, only weeds. Unpleasant odors in halls and room.

good except for the cockroach

everything was very nice and comfortable except in the bathroom a huge cockroach came from behind the toilet and I'm deathly afraid of cockroaches.

My wife and I accompanied by our 2 dogs stayed with Wyndham in Gainesville on our way to North Carolina in order to escape hurricane Irma. Wyndham came through for us and many others in a time of crisis. Thank you James and Joyce Sardo

Very little light in the room. Found one plug was bad and the light would only work when you was seating on the bed. The water valve in the shower was leaki g when you turn the water on.
