Close to UF

Pros: King size bed was excellent! Hardly we get this good bed when we travelling away from home!
Cons: Check the room completely. As we came to room after long day at UF around 10 we were kind of disappointed.
Location: Location is great.
The room had missing bulbs in two lamps. A/C was not working. Called the front desk and very quick to swap for better room.

Close to hospital

Bugs spiders smelled like sewage in the room holes in the bathroom ceiling. Just not what it looked like in pictures.

Very disappointing

Pros: $71/night
Cons: Everything
Location: Adequate location
They extorted $20 from us because we arrived early. The man at the front desk said that there was a fee to clean the room early. When we coughed up the $20, instantaneously they cleaned the room and it was available. Asked for shampoo but the housekeeper said the hotel was out. Shampoo, really! They had security card key to get into the building but the external door to the staircase was broken so we (and anyone else) could walk right in. They must be running a public pool. I observed a woman and her 3 children swimming in the pool, pack up their belonging, leave the pool area and drive off in their car. On the other hand I guess I can’t expect more for $71

Major Renovations

Pros: Great location - near Shands Hospital
The staff was lovely and helpful, however we needed to leave and move to another hotel due to the major renovation going on. I believe they will have a great hotel when they are done, however you may wish to call ahead and check on whether the construction is finished.

Pictures are deceiving

Pros: I can not think of any likes.
Cons: Be forthcoming with the current condition.
This hotel is very dated and is currently being remodeled which is not noted within the description. There was a terrible odor upon entering the building where my room was located. The room also had a terrible odor and in need up grades. The shower had strands of hair on the walls and the molding around the toilet and shower needed to be bleached. My stay was only one night and since I did not know the area very well, I tolerated my stay.

Older, shabby

Cons: Hallways are old and unappeling.
Room was OK, except no light bulbs in the two lamps. Doors to hallway require room key to enter, so apparently security is a concern, but one of the doors to the stairs does not close properly.

What a Disappointment

Pros: The only redeeming factor was the front desk personnel.
Cons: What couldn't?
We chose this hotel because Wyndham has a good reputation. Toiletries were missing and not restocked. Upon using hair dryer, it began sparking and would overheat and turn itself off after just a few seconds. Hotel definitely needs updating. The worst part of the stay, however, is that there were people loitering around the outside of the hotel at all hours of the day and night. They would even sit on the steps and block the entrance.

Okay, nice room, outdated

Room was great, bar and breakfast were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel however seemed a bit outdated. Not to mention the elevators (squeaky). Overall, okay and views were beautiful.

Pros: location clean
Cons: information about hotel restaurant and area restaurants placed in room information about location of vending machines placed in room more shampoo etc
Location: close to UF health
clean pool dinner food at restaurant good quality breakfast buffet poor
