"The location to the castle is 2 nd to none. A 5 minute walk is all it takes to be at the castle. We booked for Bastille Day. Spent the day walking around . We had lunch then returned to 514 , showered and changed. Returned to the castle for supper . Watched the fireworks display which was breathtaking. Fantastic location.The room was clean and equipped with fridge, 2 ring hob, microwave, coffee maker ( one pod machine and also a filter machine) Well worth a visit and great value for money."

"Mick and Inga were wonderful hosts for our 10 day stay at Cammas de Bas. The Gite is next to their farmhouse and has everything that is needed for a self catering holiday. The pool is fantastic-very refreshing and just the right temperature with plenty of relaxing loungers around. "Perfect location if arriving by train. We had a fantastic welcome and Sandra was very nice and clearly took pride in the property. The gite was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. We walked to the old city with our 11 year old in about 25 minutes. The old city is magnificent! Having the cafe downstairs for breakfast was really easy. If we come back to Carcassonne we would hope this apartment was available."

"I have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel and was very pleased with it. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, happy to assist in any way. Every staff member that I spoke to had fluent English, which was appreciated. I did not have a car myself but I could always see plenty of available spaces in the car park. The hotel surrounding area is quiet and felt quite safe for me, as a female walking around alone. It took me about 15 minutes to walk to the medieval city from the hotel, at an easy stroll pace. It is possible to walk to the more modern part of the city from the hotel, I did this once, but I mostly found it easier to get the number 2 bus which stops just by the hotel. Food at the hotel was very good. Breakfast included a range of various pastries, cereals, yogurts, cooked meats and cheeses. There were no hot options, but a toaster was available for guest use, also a machine for cooking eggs. I also had evening meal at the hotel, which was very tasty and reasonably priced - 27 Euros inc. tax for two courses. So to summarise, I would highly recommend this hotel."

"This hotel exceeded our expectations. The bathroom came with a tub. Bathroom was spacious. The water pressure was amazing. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel has an amazing view of the citadel. We did not have a room with a view but many rooms have full view of the citadel. The only minor issue was the room was a little too tight with not much room for our luggage. We recommend this hotel.
