Like staying in a motel in the 1970's! A motorcourt setup. New roof, porches all painted, brickface fronts clean. Room itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bathroom is totally retro (pink ceramic) but ceilings and floors are new and everything is well taken care of.

This property is very dated, the beds need to be replaced and the bathroom shows its age and had mold growing in the tile grout. I do not think that this was very good value for the money.

Family reunion.
Place was okay but definitely needs minor repairs. Most of all the doors would either hard to open or shut. The bathroom door would not close at all.

Room was nice and very clean. Looks like it was recently renovated with new paint and flooring. Staff was very friendly and helpful. By far the best value I have had in a long time.

This property is mostly an abandoned renovation project. Semi-burned mattresses and busted sheet rock is all over the property. Exterior trash cans do not exist, and the icemaker is frozen in an abandoned corner with discarded refrigerators.

BUGS BATH AND BAD LIGHTING
The room clearly had not been swept in a while as there were dead bugs all in the corners. There were three people staying in the room and they seemed surprised when we requested more towels. Then the one bath mat was removed with wash cloths the first morning and never replaced. Crickets were getting in the room and the one tall lamp did not function.

So we were on a motorcycle trip, we didn't expect much and that's what we got. To be honest the room was clean and water hot but as I said we were on a road trip and compared with other places I found it lacking one issue no coffee available none??

They gave a room key to someone we had as a guest without asking or informing us and they stole our hotel room. screw this place. dirty, unsafe, disgusting and horrible service that nearly got us killed.

Cheap & convenient at best!
The room wasn't very clean we had double beds one was clean the other was dirty the sink had toothpaste all over the bowl. Called service desk guy came cleaned the sink & changed the bed. The heating/air unit was unplugged asked why he said because it continuously runs the outlet was all broken looked like a fire Hazzard he plugged it in & the smell was HORRIBLE. The unit was disgusting looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it was put in!! Overall the view was nice on top of a hill overlooking mountains and the city!!

Well worth the few days we were there
As soon as we stepped in the room and put the ac on we were like “hell no”. The ac was not working and neither was the bathroom light. Within five minutes The three friendly and helpful men that worked there came to the room and within twenty minutes the ac was replaced and the light was working. The room was a few blocks from Main Street, a wonderful trail “galax to fries junction on the New River Trail state park”, and restaurants etc. we were pleasantly surprised with the little town and the beauty of the mountains while we sat in front of the room.

Overall, I liked this property and would stay here again if I'm in that area again. The room was clean and the property was fairly well kept. I had asked for a room to which I could back up my car since I had several large items in it I wanted to keep in my room over night. I was given a room that I could back up to, but there was a 6-foot slope between my room and the back of my car, so I had to schlep the items down to the steps to get them to and from my room. There were no other guests in the immediate area, so it was nice and quiet. However, about 11:30 PM some folks checked into the next room. They weren't overly noisy or loud, but since they couldn't smoke in their room, they sat on chairs in front of their room and smoked, and the smoke came into my room through the open windows. I thought that perhaps the desk could have given them a room that wasn't right next to another guest since the motel was less than half full.
