Reasonable hotel close to Galleria. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff, satisfactory free breakfast

The hotel staff were excellent and friendly and the room was a nice size! Great happy hour is added bonus! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Pros: Location was very convenient, just opposite Galleria.
Cons: Plumbing problem in a few buildings resulted in the need for a 2nd room for 1 night, just for toilet use.
I very routinely look for Residence Inns for extended business trips for the larger rooms / suites and kitchenettes, plus included Wifi and breakfast is handy and saves a bit if added in separately over 2 weeks or more. I had an executive suite which has the separated bedroom, and additionally was in a secured building (card access required to even get to the front door of the room).

Parking fees

I did enjoy with my family. Great place. I have stayed on Residente Inn before in different cities and here in Houston they charged me for parking in their own Hotel and I am a guest. That should not happen, honestly. I will definitively think twice to go back to Houston to use Residence Inn.

One of two elevators, the one closest to my rooms, was out of order, with no apparent effort underway to return it to operational condition. Because my wife has a significant mobility impairment, this was a serious imposition. Other conditions were satisfactory.

Awful service-Never will go back again.

Unfortanetaly, I did not have a positive experience in The Residence Inn. As a matter of fact, it is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was OK, comfortable and clean, but the service was awful. I went to Houston for a wedding and requested to have my sofa bed prepared upon my late return that night. I returned by 2AM and nothing was done. I called and I was asked to go down to the lobby to pick up the sheets. Luckily I found sheets in the closet and did it myself. I also asked for an extra soap as a stayed with my mother and the only soap is about the size of a finger. I had to call twice and never got it. The only excellent service was from a very sweet Hispanic guy at the breakfast area. Also the elevator was not working, so we had to go up the stairs a couple of times. I will never stay in a Residence inn again. The only positive comnes is that the hotel has an excellent location
