I will never stay at this property again. There are to many motels in hotels in Gallup to stay in a place like this. The desk clerks dog barked for what seemed like an hour in the middle of the night. I was so disappointed and definitely didn't come close to getting my money's worth.

The place is nice just needs to be cleaned.the bathroom needs to be cleaned up the walls were dirty and had boogers on the walls..overall it was nice stay

No Notification my room was given away.
Econolodge gave our room away without notification. I was refunded but had no clue it was canceled. I prepaid in full a week prior. Only way i knew was I called to let them know I'd be running late.

Affordable and clean
Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. The property itself seems a little run down, but the room we had for our stay was fine. It was perfectly cleaned and everything worked. Overall, for the price, I was happy and would certainly consider staying here again!

This property needs maintenance and care. First, the computer system is archaic, very slow, cannot put 2 rooms on one invoice. The shower bench in the handicapped room was unsafe. The window in our room on ground level did not close tightly. Was off the track. Very unsafe. Almost zero water pressure for the shower. I would not recommend this hotel.

Several issues in the Room I stayed in (106). The toilet roll holder broken, the AC unit was loud, luckily it sounded like there was a torrential downpour outside so had a “white noise” effect. The hostess that greeted me was very helpful and friendly. Parking wasn’t an issue either, my car was literally on the other side of the window.

Blood stains on bedsheets
Price was fine for a 1 night stay, but the room was horrible. The bathroom was dirty, I don’t know if the sheets had been cleaned but had some blood stains, I know I should’ve went to the front desk but we had been driving from Tennessee trying to get home to AZ, we just needed some sleep. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone not plan to stay here again.

Management nor front desk agent was not notified of this problem you had. if you would have brought it to our attention, we could've provided you with another room. Pest Control for any type of bugs are done quarterly, so it was completed just a month ago.

It’s nicer inside than it looks. The rooms are quite nice; again, nicer than what the reception and breakfast areas looks like. I didn’t feel super super secure staying there but for a one night stay for traveling it’s perfectly fine

Asbestos problems shows lack of funds
Check in was easy and simple. The condition of the hotel was bad. There seemed to have been some water damage possibly a water line break. There was a whole part of the ceiling in the stairwell that had a chunk of the ceiling exposed-it looked like it was possibly contaminating by asbestos. The bed was comfortable but the paint in the room looked like water damage and looked like they ran out of paint.

You only stayed for a couple hours, after getting smashed. the ceiling was damaged by rain and snow so it is being prepared at this time. However, you have yourself a wonderful day. Thank you!

Gentleman @ ck in was nice. When I reserved my room I put I would need a bottom room for I' am on oxygen w/service dog & can't walk stairs or distance. There is no parking in front so you have to park in back & walk around to the side entrance to get in I guess because the back door doesn't work. He did give me a room @ the very end on the bottom next too the door. It was still a struggle for me to make several trips back & forth & not have my oxygen tank on. The breakfast wasn't much to speak off unless you wanted waffles or cereal. The juice dispensers were both empty. No pastry's, fruits & only boiled eggs. Beware that ck out time is 10am unlike most places 11am. I killed some kind of a bug on the floor when I 1st sat down on the bed. There was a brown spot & a black mark on the bed sheet. Only shampoo to wash your hair with. The room was freezing cold. The wall unit was an old one so you couldn't set a temp. It took about an hour for the room too start to feel warm. Then you had to leave it on all night & listen to it running & the TV would only go so high you could barely hear it over the heater. I have too say the only good thing about my stay was the gentleman that checked me in & out. Stayed at better property's for a less amount.

We the staff of Econo Lodge of Gallup would like to thank you for staying with us. When the reservation was made it did not specify that you needed a room downstairs nor your disability. The entrances to the room are in the inside off the hallway so i specifically told you where to park that would be closer to your room; however you choose to park in the back. As you took your pet outside you had no problems. As far as breakfast, continental breakfast is served from 6am to 9am and you were in the breakfast room at 850am, we do have a specific time on when not to restock our breakfast items as they would go to waste so all that was left were the dry cereals, breads, milk and coffee. housekeepers are required to leave only 1 shampoo and 2 body soaps for our guests. The rooms that was first assigned to you the heater was on however you did notify front desk agent that the room would be too far from the exit door that is the reason the agent put you in the handicap room that is closer to the exit door. We are sorry if you were not satisfied with your stay, although we accommodated you as much as we would. We hope you made to your destination safely.

Very nice staff and nice, new flooring, but dirty walls, very worn and stained toilet, gaping sink drain, etc. didn’t leave me with a sense that things were clean or well-maintained. Unless it’s at a very low price, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Patricia,Your reservation was from a 3rd party booking agent, as per hotel policy, we could not offer you a refund as it was prepaid. We are very sorry that you experience with Econo Lodge was not what you expected. I do admit, the door to the room you were given when you checked does not work properly and i do apologize for that. The desk clerk was instructed to give you another room on the lower floor, which she did and there was no other complaints reported. At breakfast, your husband, yourself and your daughter were in the breakfast room however you did not approach management of your concerns you had the night before. Your problem with the room was resolved by giving you another room, there was no purpose of giving you full refund. We do thank you for staying with us.

There were dead ants in the hand towels, splashes of unknown substances on floor and walls, and the sheets had cigarette burns, and yellow stains. The upper part of the wall was so dusty you could write your name in it. The curtains had a thick film coating of dust. Blanket was thin and rough. The best thing was that the a/c worked nicely and kept the room cool.

OK stay, but disappointing in many ways
Room was fine, clean, ok comfort with unexpected amenities - small microwave, refrigerator, some USB plugs. TV remote was horrible, barely worked. Tiny coffee maker, not worth the effort. No shampoo. Only plastic and styrofoam cups.. "Continental Breakfast" ?- what a joke. Juice machine was out. Lukewarm coffee. 3 lousy bananas, hard boiled eggs left on counter. Waffle machine didn't have ingredients. Wonder bread for toaster. No other pastries. No yogurt. Only oatmeal was "s'mores" flavored. Cereal options were "fruit loops" and there was about a bowlful of frosted flakes.... It's an OK place to sleep, get in late and leave early you'll be fine.

Clean room. Noise from inside hotel hallways and rooms as well as from nearby train tracks was audible from room. The toilet made a very loud prolonged sound when flushed. Breakfast choices were disappointing.

Was a stop over while traveling home to Louisiana and I accidentally left a chocolate diamond ring on the desk!!! The manager called me when they found it but we had already crossed to another state and would have the general manager mail it to me… very thankful for their honesty… was over a 4,000 dollar ring!!!

The bldg. itself is a dump, hasn't been touched by a professional in years. No doubt all work is done by an on-site dude with no talent at all. Room was clean but suffers tha same as above.
