Won’t be back
Won’t be staying at a Marriot again. Made my reservations four months in advance, requesting and paying for a king suite. Upon check-in I was told they didn’t have any kings and that we had been given two queens instead. I told them I didn’t want queens which is why I reserved a king bed. The girl told me there were no kings and apologized but said they would comp me but only if I refused the room I was offered. By accepting the two queen beds it meant I was satisfied and therefore would receive no compensation. Six o’clock on a Saturday; where were we going to go? I accepted the room and sure enough, no compensation. In the room we found hairs on the bathroom floor and a tv that didn’t work. We called maintenance and he couldn’t fix it either. At two thirty in the morning the tv oddly popped on with a bright screen saying it had lost its signal. So glad it woke us up to tell us that. Bright parking lot lights kept the room pretty bright all night. Doors slamming loudly woke us both up around midnight. In the morning we went down to the restaurant for breakfast only to learn it would cost $9.99 per person. Really? $225 per night and I still have to pay for breakfast? I packed my bags and left instead. On a brighter note, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. An overall disappointing stay.
