View of beach. Rooms need updating.

The manager, Mr. Bird was an extreme smart alec. The hotel was clean but in need of updates. Chair in our room was broken. Outdated decor in room. Cleanliness was A+.

Cons: I will NEVER EVER stay here, or, recommend this hotel. RUDE staff, HORRIBLE customer service, and difficult logistics.
My family flew into Houston and traveled by Uber to the hotel. When we checked in, I asked the staff about the fee shuttle (which used to be advertised on their website) to the cruise port. The front desk clerk asked, "Did you make a reservation?" I said we did not, as it is a free hotel shuttle and the port is 10 min away. The clerk rolled his eyes, told me the shuttle is not free, and, if we did not make reservations, we would "probably" be "out of luck." I left the desk flustered, but decided to go to the room to down the bags and feed my starving family. We got cleaned up for dinner. I called the desk and asked for them to call a cab. They said it would be a 20 minute wait because it was Mardi Gras weekend. I said fine and waited for the front desk to call us to notify us the taxi was there. Approx. 30 minutes after the request, the front desk called and said, "Your cab has been waiting for 10 minutes." We ran downstairs, only to find the cab took another guest which had also been waiting for a cab. I asked the front desk what was up with his horrible customer service and he just laughed and said, "Mardi Gras weekend is crazy." Ticked off, my family and I walked the 1 mi. to a restaurant, ate, then walked back.

Great Location

Nice room, convenient location, free parking, & a Wal-Mart across the street. Beach is in walking distance. Request a balcony... nice place to sit, relax & look at beach. Room was over priced even for Spring break. I will stay again!!!!

We loved staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites!! We would definitely stay here again. The rooms were a lot bigger than other places we have stayed. We felt at home!

Hampton Inn quality near beach

Checked in to a king room that smelled smoky. Since this is a nonsmoking hotel I immediately called the front desk. They moved us to a larger room that was fresh and ready. Great night. Quiet, clean and close to all attractions.

I really enjoyed my stay. I didn't know that my room didn't have a bath tub, but it did have a balcony.

The service was great and we did not have any complaints. They took us to the port to get us on our ship Freedom of Galveston and they picked us up also and it was great
