Stay Elsewhere!! Felt very unsafe. There were homeless everywhere surrounding this hotel and laying everywhere inside the parking garage. Also, the parking garage and walking areas were very dark...needs additional lighting. Did not feel safe, at all. Had to carry my pepper spray to get to and from the hotel entrance to parking every time, just to ensure we were not mugged/robbed.
Definitely, not worth the price for this hotel. There are plenty of other places better than this. The room was dirty and had to call for room cleaning, which I didn't even bother doing, as I just cleaned my own space. Homeless are all over and in the parking garage. The parking garage is a cluster **** and had to wait 30 minutes to get out, because it would not let cars out each time exiting. Also, my fault, but left some of my belongings (around $500 value) in the room, upon leaving and called the same day of check out and was told to call the next day. Called the next day, described all belongings left behind and was told that nothing was found. The things that I left were very obvious and obviously stolen by housekeeping or the lady at the front desk that "supposedly" checked the top drawer where they were left and she kept calling me "love", which I did not appreciate, as it was super fake. Take this review, as you will, but I would strongly advise NOT staying at this hotel. I've stayed at many other places in Galveston (in the same area) for less expensive, much cleaner & felt more safe.
