Nice location in front of the beach

We came back from a Disney cruise and decided to stay in Galveston for a night. Overall good decision, visited NASA and a good restaurant in Galveston.

Pros: The room was great. Service was excellent.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Went to several nearby restraunts.
Kids went to t he beach the first time. We loved the hotel and the city

Beautiful location next to the water!!! Try the pier out, you never know what you’ll see pulled in out of the water!

Staff is negligent in several ways

Housekeeping didn't come at all after first night. Worst of all, we were expecting a VERY important FedEx package. We told front desk staff we'd like it left at desk. She entered info on our record. Returned to hotel, asked for package. Nobody had a clue where it was. Called FedEx. They gave us the name of person who signed for it. Manager kept telling us "I'm the only one who signs for packages," repeatedly. We gave him the name. He called her at home. It turned up, eventually. Breakfast was not good. Facility was clean.

We try to focus on our guest needs. Sadly sometimes we drop the ball and we are sad to say miss the mark. Just like anyone else we stand back up dust ourselves off and try again to make a better future. We are sorry that we did not exceed your expectations. I'd give it 5 stars if the carpet in our room was cleaner. Had to wear socks because it had some sort of sticky film. Not too bad though. Room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed, linens, and pillows. Nice view of the beach and reasonably priced for being on the Seawall. Had no issues with allowing our dog in - he's a registered ESA. Good breakfast and great staff. Very accommodating and would stay again.

Nice hotel, close to the beach.

Pros: Nice rooms, every room has a balcony with a ocean view, underground parking, across the street from the seawall.
Cons: nope
Location: Shop, eat, visit museums, walk and swim in the ocean.
Stayed for two night right before Harvey struck. Hotel staff were very helpful in keeping us dated about the storm.

Not clean

Pros: view
Cons: Cleanliness. Have maintenance staff.
The room was dirty and smelled bad. Our key would not work in the door and they did not have maintenance person to fix it till the next day. We had to leave someone in room everytime we left room. Very overpriced for what we got. It should have been about a hundred dollars cheaper per night

Hotel room was dusty; sheets were not changed during stay; hall had small trash on floor; workers buckets was left in several places in the hall; balcony had 5 foot stucco wall (others had railing, but ours did not), so no view of ocean unless standing and leaning over. I called the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do. We will not be staying here again. (This was our 3rd time at this hotel, and it has progressively gotten worse.)

Time has not been kind

The first room the door wouldn't open to the balcony. The second room the door made horrible loud noises when opened and shut. The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet. The pool was very cloudy and green. The WiFi either did not work or when it did it was super slow. We stayed here last year and the place has really went downhill since that time.
