Bad experience

We had reservations at La Copa for February 12th. When we got there the motel was closed. They had moved us to the Best Western. We had reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub. When we got to La Copa they informed us they do not even have Jacuzzi tub rooms. I told her that the room description is on all of the booking sites. I had booked through Expedia. The lady said it was Expedia fault the room description was wrong. I informed her that I had called La Copa directly inquiring about the jacuzzi tub and was told that it was a two-person tub. She continue to blame Expedia for the misinformation. On the La Copa direct website they have the same room list. I was very disappointed The lady at the front desk was extremely rude.

hotel under renovation

the staff was friendly and the room was really nice....but at night. Their was a loud noice like if some one was hiting a pipe or something. It was very loud and was,un able to sleep all night, on top of that, the persons whe where staying on the roon on top of mine were running, jumping and dragging things all night. I call the front desk and told them about this and all they did is call but nothing els. this. went on all night with the noice on the wall and the people above. i had no sleep and was supper tired next day.

just a one night get away.

Pros: the location.
Cons: the cleanliness.
Location: it was on the west end of the island, putt putt golf was near, walmart was also near.
the place seem to be under construction, half of the building we were in was blocked off. the pool and hot tub were not working. the breakfast was ok. the price was right and that allowed me to over look most things.

Thank you for your review and as you stated the pool and hot tub were not working as they are seasonal outside we have a very short time to close and make any needed repairs and as stated we are working hard to upgrade the hotel.

Bed bugs

Pros: location
Cons: Beds & linen and a much cleaner facility & a staff that knows things about the hotel they work for.
I have attempted to reach out to the manager Dade for about a week now. Still no response!! After my second night stay I broke out with bumps all over my body. After seeking medical attention i was diagnosed with bed bugs. Not to mention the cost to see a doctor, rx, pain & suffering last but not least I had to be off work cost me over $300. All Expedia gave me was a voucher for $50 for the trouble I experienced. WOW!!! After my second night stay I asked for room service in person & over the phone with Karla front desk person. After a long day and when I returned to my room, nothing had been done. No towels, toilet paper, dirty sheets. And by the way Dade I did ask for a change of room!! Horrible experience!! It seems like the staff never knew anything there. Hummm! There was never no manager on site to make the complains too.

I am so sorry for your issues please contact me as I work 7 days a week from 7:30am usually until at least 6pm in and out of all the hotels.

Bed bugs

The staff was nice as for my 3 night stay. I never got room service the room was some was dusty not clean. Overall I developed bed bugs and Expedia nor management did nothing about

We are sorry about any problems you had in the area or the hotel. We would of been glad to handle any issues at the front desk and time of your stay. Please note that you extended your stay with us one extra day and did not request changing rooms or any issues. The hotel did comp. 2 of your 3 nights as stated by the hotel and Expedia. Sorry for any issues and please know that the room was inspected and nothing found but we will once again as this is the first time we say any pictures call in the pros to double check.

Convenient to our Family

Pros: The fact that the staff went out of their way to accomodate us after the problem. Also the cleanliness of the room and comfort of the beds.
When we arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m., we were just going to make sure our reservation was in order but the clerk checked us in and gave us a key. Being in a hurry to get to our faimly's home, we did not viist the room. When we returned around 8 pm, we used our key to enter the room and the door opened but the inner lock was on!!!! A very startled lady came to the door and asked what was going on. My husband said this is our room or at least the key were given this morning. Also I could say was the key worked! The room occupant then opened the door and talked a minute and she said they had checked in at 3 a.m. that morning. My husband went to the hotel desk and the clerk accompanied him back to the room saying that could not happen! The very gracious lady already in the room said they would work it out. Long story short, we were given an upgraded room!

Remodeling.

Wasn't informed of remodel. Halls taped off, pool and hot tub not working. Halls stink of paint. Don't stay here.

Pros: Quite - location
Cons: Sink faucet
Location: Everything excellent
Everything ok except for faucet - hardly any water came out from the sink. Was very disappointed - decided to watch hands using shower faucet.

Checked out there were bugs in my bed

Pros: Location was great and quiet. That's it away from all the traffic and noise after a long day on the seawall.
Cons: Staff didn't offer another room or refund due to bugs in my bed. Place was dirty, had bedbugs, do not stay here
