Close to the beach

It wasn't an updated hotel, but it wasn't outdated either. It was nice and cozy offering the essentials. Overall, it was good for a night staycation!

Excella stay night before a cruise

Hotel staff were friendly. Room was clean. Hotels in a great location across from the beach, and near good restaurants. Free breakfast was waffles, eggs and danish. We enjoyed our stay here.

Cockroaches

We checked in and everything seemed fine at first although the surrounding area did not feel safe. Around 5am we woke to use the washroom and as lights turned on in washroom, cockroaches scattered, some out of the coffee maker! We checked out ASAP and went elsewhere. When notifying the staff in lobby at checkout of what had happened, they completely ignored our comments and replied with have a great day. Clearly no concern at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those with young children due to the surrounding area.

Utilitarian Accomodations

Best thing I can say was the staff here is VERY nice, getting me into my room at 1:30 instead of the usual 4PM check-in time. I had to get ready for an event setting up down the street at 2PM, didn't think to check policy and thought any time after noon would be fine (no, I don't travel all that much). Room adequate, quiet and the usual amenities including a fridge. But the only Nescafé and powdered creamer in the lobby was a disappointment.

Roaches in the bathroom

The hotel was in a nice spot, we walked to the beach everyday. The people the stayed there on the other hand had me question the hotel, especially with all of them smoking and hearing them throughout the night. Everyone could watch you in the pool and it wasn't very private. We were going to stay for three nights but had to cut it short because we had found cockroaches in the the bathroom. Not a pleasant surprise, wouldn't advise kids to go here.

Location faces beach at great value !

Needs larger and cleaner windows. Weather facing beach hard on the facility. Staff/Mgr aware needs updating & new beds. La Quinta should invest in this property. Great value for the rates. Nice pool. Needs queen beds, earlier check in, and later breakfast as beach stay. Can't be beat for the price.
