Nice launching pad to explore Galway and nearby areas. Our room was in good shape and the breakfast was great. Walkable to the fun Latin Quarters. They provided a portable crib for our baby.

We had a great stay. Everyone was so pleasant, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel was positioned perfectly for us to walk to many shops and restaurants.

Excellent location and loved the free parking! Dinner, drinks, and live music were great although definitely an older crowd. The bed was hard and creaky, the pillows were terrible, and the shower was weird.

Just brought our mom to Galway for the first time and stayed here as its location made things within walking distance. The hotel was clean, fairly quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. It’s not fancy but had everything most people need for a visit to the area. The dining is fantastic and you can walk all over the city from here! We had a great stay!

Great time in the Western
We came in to visit my sister at the university, my two brothers and elderly father. The staff were attentive, kund snd or9fessional. The hotel is lovely and well maintained. The pub and restaurant are welcoming and the food is exvellent.

Christmas Time
Great, place, 2min walk to Eyre Square. Lovely traditional bar and restaurant. Staff very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Great to have underground free parking so close to city centre. Really lovely freshly cooked Irish breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended

We came to see the Galway town center and visit the Christmas Market; we stayed nearby at the Western Hotel which is a short walk from Eyre Square. We were in the apartment for the night, it was spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished; we had an enjoyable breakfast the morning at the Western, the menu had a good variety and was delicious.

Good location and bonus that they have a parking lot. Room however was kind of mediocre. Old stained dirty carpet and could feel parts of the floor boards lifting as you walked, same with the bathroom tiles; kind of dingey and lots were lifting/rocking as you walked. Not terrible but kind of had an icky vibe.

I liked it all! A nice surprise was the Irish music in the bar later in the evening! I think it was the best hotel that I stayed in on this trip! This was my second stay and I will be back! Will definitely recommend it to family and friends!

Excellent Hotel
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The mattress was very comfortable. The on-site restaurant was excellent and the hotel was kept immaculate. The location within a short distance to both the bus and train stations was another big plus. Highly recommend this hotel.

The property was great. Access to numerous restaurants and shops very easy. It was definitely a good pick. The underground parking has a limited number of spaces though.

Great location for walking into the pedestrian district of Galway City Centre. Staff was very nice! Parking in underground garage worked well. Room was spacious with updated bathroom. Furniture in the room was a bit old fashioned, but not a problem. Bed was comfortable. We had dinner in their restaurant - it was quite good!

We received a free upgrade from this facility and really enjoyed the extra space. The food options in the morning were delicious and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a very nice stay at The Western. Property was clean and staff very friendly . Location was perfect for getting to shops, bars, restaurants. The restaurant/pub attached was convenient and food was good. The only complaints we had were the bed was quite uncomfortable and pillows very flat. The room could be warm at night, due no air conditioning. Also there were no washcloths/face cloths available. Apparently this is common in Europe. However, our other hotels had them, so I'm unsure if this is a fault or not. Could just be more of a North American thing.

Clean, quiet room. Good location and the staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe be cautious in the shower because ours had wild temperature swings and could maybe burn you.
