Outside the tourist area in GalwayPosted Sep 27, 2015
Pros: free parking
Cons: room temperatures. enough hot water for all guests to shower in the morning. better quality breakfast or lower price.
Location: everything requires a bus ride or a 20 minute walk.
Lots of parking (free) & reasonably quick check-in. This is a large hotel that caters to bus tours. Pros: The room was a good size, clean & comfortable. Cons: The room was too warm & we had to leave the window open the entire time, but this is not unusual for Ireland. We ran out of hot water for our showers. The "full Irish Breakfast" is a buffet - not worth the $. The downtown area is a 20 minute walk or a quick bus ride (2 Euro per person). In hindsight, a hotel closer to the downtown pedestrian area would have been better. But if you have kids, there's a pool (bathing caps required!).

Excellent location close to everythingPosted Sep 22, 2015
From the moment we walked in we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Such a great family friendly hotel. We will definitely come back next time we visit Galway.

Galway get awayPosted Aug 12, 2015
Was the cheapest in the area out of the hotels for the time of year. If I could have found somewhere cheaper I would have. Was an ok hotel. Very big and the service was effected. Had to wait over half an hour for a bar menu luckily I wasn't in a rush. Bar menu was basic. Breakfast was cold at the weekend but did improve on the monday with less guests.

Pros: Even though this location is not as convenient to public transportation, we had no problem finding a taxi immediately.
I often stay in Galway but have never stayed in this part of the city. Since I had a car, it was convenient parking but a good 25-30 minute walk to the city centre. Good breakfast buffet included with the room and it was quiet.

Apartamento completo.Posted Jul 5, 2015

Bad Customer service!Posted Jul 4, 2015 on Hotels
I arrived after having made my booking online. However, it did not show up on the reception records. I was there late and it took about five to ten minutes for me to find my confirmation email on my phone. While looking I asked if I could perhaps have a coffee. Staff refused to make me one as I was not "officially" a guest. When I did finally get tomy room they had put me Iin a twin room rather than in the double I had booked.

Big blocky shed but great pool and nice staffPosted Jul 3, 2015 on Hotels
We asked to change from the rather dark and ground floor dowdy room with a torn curtain and a view of the back alley) that they put us in. The worst thing was that it also had a horrible uncomfortable bed made from two singles pushed together - why do hotels do this? - so that you got poked by the wedge in the middle. They changed us very quickly to a very good room with two smaller but properly double beds. And a view of flowers, a great improvement. The place was fine - no character at all, lots of coach parties, but facilities very good. Breakfast excellent, dinner boring and probably defrosted. There are plenty of good places to eat in Galway instead of this dining room. The swimming poll was a highlight.
