Their location is good with several eating and drinking options within walking distance as well as a small mall. The room price comes with a buffet breakfast which was fresh and quite tasty. "

"Don't overlook this hotel. The staff here makes this hotel special. They went above and beyond for us. Newfoundland hospitality is alive and well here. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well. A wonderful homecooked meal. The hotel is a little outdated but very clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend if your in Gander for a quick visit. "

A Taste of Newfound InlandBack Country

Back Country Cottages fit that perfectly. A full 30 km inland on old logging roads and trails off the highway, to the cabin at a 12 km long “pond”. We were really glad we had the owner drive us in and out in his truck because our rented sedan would have bottomed out in several places. It also gave us a great chat with the friendly and humorous owner who grew up in the area, to learn local history. The cabin was beautifully finish with all walls, ceilings and cabinets in knotty pine. Very rustic and calming vs the usual multi colour and nick nacks in many B&B. Would be fabulous for trout and salmon fly/fisher-people to stay for many days. "
