The staff are always polite and very helpful and the rooms are superb ranging from single to double to suites.

This is an eclectic hotel in the heart of Gamla Stan. A little dated, but quite good.

Central location, lovely staff

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: The excellent customer care and location.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: As above.
The Victory Hotel is a great find. A two minute walk from Gamla Stan station and in the centre of Stockholm's old town, it is highly convenient as well as uniquely decorated in a nautical theme. The main advantage, however, is the care the hotel takes for its customers. Each floor has 24 hour tea and coffee making facilities and the front desk staff were harming and accommodating. I was even greeted by a small carafe of sherry and a chocolate on arrival. will definitely return.

Restaurant

Sadly the bar and restaurants attached are so popular that it is almost impossible to get seating. Too bad - but the rest was excellent.

Interesting comfortable hotel

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: The character and helpful staff.
Cons: Offer guests a chance to book the restaurant and bar when they book their accommodation. Maybe offer a package for that for one night?
Location: Perfect location you can walk or get the ferry to everything. We went to the Abba Museum and took a 3 hour lunch cruise to the islands - both great.
Right in the heart of the old town - which is a fantastic location if you are on holiday. Walk out of your door to bars, restaurants and gift shops. The room was cosy and comfortable and bigger than the impression given on the internet photo. There is a nice surprise in the evening, which I won't spoil, but you are made to feel very welcome. The hotel has a good buzz about it and the bar and restaurants are very cosy and inviting. The only problem is they get booked up early on Friday and Saturday (even the seats in the bar need to be booked), which is fine, so long as you know in advance. We didn't get to eat in the hotel as we hadn't pre booked and they were full - but they looked very good. If you are staying in Stockholm research restaurants a while before you go and book them up if you want somewhere special - everywhere with a good reputation is booked once you arrive. The prices in Stockholm are not cheap - expect to pay £7.50 minimum for a glass of house wine - most are over £10 a glass. The city is lovely and very pretty.
