Airport HotelPosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels
This hotel is close to Kimpo Airport and the bus lines. It is about 40 minutes from the center of Seoul. Hotel was good for 1 night stay. There wasn't much for entertainment around the hotel.

good location and decent roomPosted Dec 27, 2013 on Hotels
I was laying over through Gimpo airport, and was looking for a reasonable hotel near the airport. The hotel is very conveniently located; 1min to bus stop and 5min to subway 9 line. it takes around 10mins by cab to Gimpo airport which was the biggest benefit for me. Hotel itself was just okay. well, I would say it's good for the price. room was clean and bed was comfy. bathroom was sorta small and the shower booth was not completely insulated, so there was a heavy water leak from the booth.. but other than that there's nothing much to complain about.

Ok room, clean but a bit outdatedPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels
Stayed for business, so just for sleeping in the room. Ok room, old school TV with almost only local TV stations in Korean, fridge with complimentary water. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom, can be purchased in the lobby though. No safe in room. Would probably stay again for business, but the hotel is too quiet for my taste if travelling for some more fun.

Easy to findPosted Mar 11, 2013 on Hotels
From Icheon Airport just take the train and transfer to the number 9 train like 6 stops down...then get off at Gayung station exit number 6 door walk 4-5 blocks and there it is. There are restraunts and bars all around the hotel. Not really close to any sights but the trains are cheap and easy to navigate so it was no problem to get to them. Staff spoke good english and were very helpful.

you get what you pay forPosted Aug 18, 2012
Pros: the price is hard to beat
Cons: air conditioning
Location: 5 minute walk to the subway
Cons: The air conditioner barely kept me cool even if i sat right next to it. The robe in the closet smelled terribly of smoke. Pros: It was cheap, very cheap.

Disappointing hotel to be avoided.Posted Aug 11, 2012
Pros: Front desk clerks were helpful (e.g., in arranging taxis, in calling tour operators for directions).
Cons: Room air conditioning very underpowered and slow to cool room at end of day. Poor breakfast variety and hours.
Location: Location is not so bad. However, it is hidden behind other buildings on a nondescript street. Hotel business cards do have a map that helps.
Hotel personnel were all friendly and helpful. However the hotel itself is dreary, the breakfast offered is very disappointing and its hours quite short (7-9am), and air conditioning almost non-existant especially in elevator, hallways, and bed rooms.

One Night stay in NostalgiaPosted Jul 13, 2012 on Hotels
The location of the hotel was a challenge. The cab driver was not able to locate the hotel. To make matters worse, the address was in English text and it made it difficult for the cab driver to locate the hotel. We stopped at numerous place to ask for directions. Finally found it nest to Hotel Carlton. The hotel was tuck away in a little corner. In future, when booking a hotel in Seoul, make sure you have the address in Korean text and have a contact number of the hotel. This will allow the cab driver to contact the hotel for directions.

Good locationPosted May 14, 2012
Good location in Gimpo, close to the airport. Great choice of restaurants in the neighbourhood.
