BISON HALLOW on the YELLOWSTONE RIVERFRONT

Riverfront cabin with kitchen and patio
Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the waterfall across from the cabin that flows year-round and the Yellowstone River as it meanders past the Bison Hallow. Located only 300 yards from the border to Yellowstone National Park and 4.5 miles from the town of Gardiner/the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance. The spacious patio offers a beautiful setting to take in the mountain views while reminiscing about the days adventures. With a gas grill and seating for all 8 - it is the perfect place to establish base camp for your Yellowstone vacation.

The cabin has two bedrooms with 4 commercial queen beds. Each bedroom has a private ensuite (full) bathroom. The Bison Hallow is cozy and beautifully decorated with a theme honoring the great American icon, the Sacred Bison.

Each year Yellowstone National Park culls up to 900 bison – this sad event (which involves treaty rights) allows men to line up on the road, shoot entire herds – even heavily pregnant females that are ready to drop newborn calves within 30-120 days. If you chose to walk the field cross the gravel road – please carry bear spray and pay your respects to the fallen. You’ll find several bones in the bison graveyard….
Air-conditioned accommodations at this cabin offer fireplaces and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to patios. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

5/5 Excellent

Very nice
Great location and the view of the Tetons in the back was beautiful.

1/5 Terrible

A 3 mile entrance road that takes 30 min to travel
Would never stay at this place again. Misleading regarding the property entrance road. A 3 mile gravel - dusty - and wash board groves that wouldn't allow us to travel more than 5 mph - 7 miles to town took 40 min. And the garbage drop off 9 miles away was impossible and not expected for the cost of the rental.

5/5 Excellent

North Yellowstone lodging
This was an excellent place to sleep during our exploration of Yellowstone. It was conveniently located near the entrance to Yellowstone, but the road to get there was unpaved and long- we actually saw some really cool wildlife along it. There was room for my large family to spread out and my kids enjoyed the bocci balls.

5/5 Excellent

Comfortable cabin
Convenient for yellowstone, relaxing

5/5 Excellent

Perfect place to experience Yellowstone
Honestly- this cabin was just PERFECT for my family of five. Perfect spot at the base of the north entrance- and we just LOVED our time on the river behind us. So much wildlife every night and inside we had everything we needed to cook and enjoy. Truly loved this VRBO and going home telling everyone to rent this cabin if they want to go to Gardiner. Loved every second- this was a great find and made our trip. Thanks!!!
