Decent but basic hotel.

Posted Oct 23, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, location. Reasonably comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom was basic: no proper shower and sins of wear and tear. Comfort levels were pretty basic too, and the rooms could have done with an airing.
Location: Hundreds of restaurants and shops within five minutes' walk. Excellent location for metro and bust to/from airport.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location 2 minutes walk from metro and shopping streets, 5 minutes from Capitole and a hundred bars and restaurants. Despite that, quiet. We chose it because of its location and price, and were not disappointed on either count.

Adequate hotel in a good area

Posted Oct 17, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is in a very central part of Toulouse, an easy walk from the train station. It is much older and smaller than it looks in the photos. The bed was just 2 twin sized beds pushed together, which wasn't too comfortable. It was an alright stay in a good location... but not worth paying for the upgraded room.

Centrally located hotel

Relatively cheap hotel, in a central location in the city. Short 5 minutes walk to the subway station. Room is small, but clean. Overall, the hotel is quite old, but still well maintained.

Convenient to Sights & Train Station

Posted Sep 18, 2015 on Hotels
Two seniors in their early 70 from the U.S. who are not too picky about European hotels, and usually stay at 3 star locations stayed at Grand Hotel Raymond IV. The hotel is about a three block walk from the main train station – we would say convenient. Desk staff very helpful – even printed a contract off for us. Our room was roomy enough with a good bathroom, strong water pressure and good towels. Wi-fi was accessible but we had to re-enter the password often. Minimal plugs for charging – we travel with four devices. Breakfast was what I call European: coffee, tea, juice, croissants, breads, fruit (fresh and canned), yoghurt, meat and cheese and hard boiled eggs – definitely sufficient. Location definitely good for walking to sights and restaurants. Note that on the front of the hotel, it is called Hotel Raymond IV – the word Grand nowhere to be seen!

Nice hotel, close to city center

We were charged 5 euros per day for a baby crib that was not very hospitable. Hotel is quite old and needs renovation. However, overall we enjoyed our stay, thanks to the helpful staff..
