Days Inn and Suites downtown Gatlinburg experence

Pros: Good location for walking around main street shops.
Cons: Everything I wrote in the About your experience. Don't throw dirty water out on to the parking lot. Clean up the rooms. Fix the plumbing water hammer
Location: Good location, was able to walk on main street and shop, and close to a lot of activities
Room had musty smell, walls had stains/holes in them, the curtains had mold on the shears and night shade. The bath room tub had hair in it and the water pipes would make loud squealing noise few minutes after the toilet was flushed would have to get up and turn water on and off to get rid of the noise. Wall outlets did not all work, as did some of the wall lights, microwave unplugged had to move refrigerator out from wall to plug it in. The out door pool had standing water and debris in it. Housekeeper threw water from cleaning bucket off the second floor down in to the parking lot as we were walking pass just missing us and the cars that were parked there. The breakfast was very disappointing everything pre made the eggs (only had cheese omelets) were pre-made in a package and you had to heat up in microwave Biscuits were cold and hard (no utensil's to take out of the container). Reported all to front desk and person at the desk did not write any of these issue down, just said she would report them.

Mattressess were very hard and uncomfortable. Continental breakfast was very cold. Asked for a room with a view and got a room looking at another room.

Bathtub advertised

Pros: The location was great
Cons: The service.
Location: Gatlinburg is a wonderful tourist location.
I called the hotel ahead of time to make sure they had bathtubs in the room. And the room photo on line shoe=wed a tub. I know most people shower but I like a tub. I was assured they did. What I didn't ask was it in working order. I requested a stopper to three different desk people and got no answer. The one young man clerk said if they didn't have one they didn't have one and clearly had no interest in obtaining the requested item. I suggested they go to a hardware store and get one for about 2 dollars. He shrugged his shoulders. My husband then asked the manager on day two about a stopper. He was given one that did not fit. It was a tiny one for a sink. We gave up after three days. We still had to pay for three nights at premium Labor Day Prices. The carpet was soiled and the chair and ottoman had large burned/ripped places. This was the worst hotel experience of my life.

Photos online showed newly remodeled rooms but reality was different, it was a construction zone.

Hotel on the strip

I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. I was embarrassed from the moment I walked in the door of the lobby. The employee behind the counter was smoking and had her music blaring while I was checking in. The elevator was SKETCHY-it was still coming down when the doors opened. There was no inspection chart visible. It was truly terrifying. The room was hot and musty, each room had mildew-covered drip pans. The beds had what appeared to be blood stains. The front door didn't shut or lock properly. The bathroom was just a nightmare. I could go on and on, but the moral of this story is please read reviews carefully before making reservations. Learn from my mistake and avoid embarrassment.

Three trys to get a desent room. First room stunk like oil. 2nd a/c broke. Thrid was ok , just barely one is machine for two buildings. NO ICE BUCKETS. NOT ENOUGH TOWELS OR wash clothes in any of the rooms we looked in.

Just needed sleep

We just needed a room to sleep & shower cause we only got to stay 2 nights. Room could been better but get what you pay for. It was for us it did what we needed it do for our family which was sleep & showers. They just need blowdryer in the rooms
