Nice Stay

My husband and I had a great time in Gatlinburg. Microtel Inn was in a VERY convenient location, within walking distance to the strip of downtown Gatlinburg. The hotel room itself could us some updating, especially in the bathroom. It was fairly clean, although there was some "extra" hairs left behind. Bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Close enough to walk everywhere in town

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay this place is good, however the rooms are very small and the walls are very thin you can hear everything above you below you and in the hallway so if you are a light sleeper you should probably ask for the top floor on an end

Very disappointed

This was an awful place to stay very dirty and kind of scary Will never suggest this to any one very overpriced for what You get kind of ruined our stay.one night the fire alarm was Set off and when we tried to call the office they didn't answer for awhile Thought they had a pool but it was nowhere in sight it would have probably been to dirty to use. Language barrier was another problem Couldn't understand workers.

Easy walk to downtown

Pros: Location, parking, wifi
Cons: Condition of room...room needs painting; bathroom needs updating; carpet damp; hallway smells of smoke; breakfast room very small
Location: Location is great...right by Main Street in Gatlinburg with lots of shops, restaurants. National Park very close.
Great location within steps of downtown; free parking; free wifi worked great; breakfast is only carbs. Room is large with a frig but needs some serious updating and painting. Carpet felt damp. Hallway smells like smoke. Staff very pleasant.

Ugh! Bed Bugs and fire alarm

Hotel is older, as are a lot of the hotels in Gatlinburg area. Color scheme was brown and orange. 1970's it appeared to be clean hallway had just been vacuumed with some sort of freshener. We came in really late, room was ready check in a breeze. However as we were getting ready for bed my husband swears he found a bed bug. I didn't see it. But didn't stick around to find out. We checked out immediately and asked for a refund. While Hotels.com was working on refund. I was standing in lobby People/guest went to barreling down the stairs the smoke alarm was going off. Someone smoking in area not designated to smoke had lit up and set off the alarm. Needless to say we weren't the only ones that left.
