Needs updating

Hotel needs updating, especially the bathrooms. Room and bathroom were clean, except you could see old stains on the towels. Rooms are small, hence the name Microtel. No coffee in the rooms, but available 24/7 in the lobby, did not try it. No real breakfast, just cereal, toast/bagel, and apple/banana. Staff was nice.

Parking is a nightmare. Breakfast and eating area are a joke. Staff was friendly.

Close to the stripe that’s about it

The front desk lady was great, the room and hallway was ran down. Hair on the bed and shower wall gross! In the morning we must have been next to the industrial washer and drier because our entire room shook. Funny but not conducive to rest.

Nice motel in middle of town.

Pros: It is in the middle of town.
Cons: Some updating could be done and better selection for breakfast.
Location: It is across from the convention center so it’s in the middle of town. There is a lot to do from shopping to moonshine sampling.
Overall the motel is nice and clean. The rooms are smaller than most but it is a Microtel. Have stayed here many times while visiting Gatlinburg, it is right in the middle of town so walking to anything you are wanting to do is easy. Only issue I have with this trip was being woke out of sleep during the night cause the fire alarm went. We had to excavate and stand on street while police and fire came. No one told us what was going on. But no fire so either false alarm or someone pulled the fire alarm.

Pros: close to the strip, some covered parking
This is no resort , but it is just right for me considering all we do in it is sleep , shower and change . the breakfast is minimal , no pool . but Jimmy cracked corn and ? You guessed it - I don't care . I'd rather spend money out doing things rather than sitting in a hotel room , and this place far from the most expensive place in town.

Close to the strip

My wife and I booked this motel for a 4 night stay in Gatlinburg, TN. Despite some other reviews, we decided to chance it due to the proximity to the strip. On arrival, first impression was that this used to be a small business owned motel that was purchased and "fixed" up for as little as possible. Check-in was easy and staff was pleasant enough. We arrived to our non-smoking room on the second floor - however, the smell of the smoking rooms overpowered the hallway and our own room so much my wife could not tolerate it. We returned to reception and requested a room change. They asked us to return later to see what they had available - approximately 11 pm. We hit the strip and contemplated trying a different motel even though we had already paid for this, but due to the expense of others in the area we returned to this one. They claimed they had one room left. We were taken to a much nicer double room - two rooms conjoined, set up like a living and a bedroom. Two bathrooms! As others have mentioned, sheet quality, bathroom amenities are limited, and not much glam to speak of. We left the do not disturb sign on so cannot speak to cleaning service. We were only in our room to sleep essentially. If you are looking for a place in the middle of the strip within walking distance of everyone, cheap, and good enough to sleep then this place is fine. You're here to vacation right?

Waste of money

The beds had blood stains on them, the couches had white stains all over them. The bathrooms were not cleaned at all. There was hair all over the bathtub. Also the room had a terrible odor. People were checking in for three nights, I was getting coffe and herd them say they wanted to check out and not stay there three days because the room was bad.
