Parking spaces are to small unless you drive a compact car

Comfortable bed. Nice view out back. Staff recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Convenient location.

Nice area but hotel not clean

Nice area and people but hotel not clean . Too many mountains and the weather was amazing. I like watching water full

Weekend in Gatlinburg

The staff was excellent. The motor Inn was clean, quite, and right on the river with a private balcony. The price was great. The only negative, was the housekeeper didn't leave enough towels or wash clothes after me asking for her to leave extra. And she didn't sweep the floor. I'm sure your asking how do I know that. My Aunt spilled a bag of chips the night before we got up as much as we could. You could see the crumbs still in the floor. I'm not complaining just letting you know in advance. We had a pleasant stay and no problems. We would stay again.

Rocky Waters has been part of my family since 1980

Pros: Balcony
Cons: Everything. Internet access was terrible enough that I had to buy an AT&T access point. No towel racks. No soap holder.
We stayed at Rocky Waters from 1979-1986 every spring when I was a kid. I loved it. For Eclipse 2017 weekend I thought I won the lottery. It was inexpensive for a hotel in the area when I booked it last year. Internet access - Your Verizon phone will not work here, Rocky Waters Internet never works. Buy an AT&T hotspot. Do not expect Internet access at this hotel, it doesn't work. Rocky Waters still has private balconies over the river, which is just the greatest thing ever. There's nothing like sleeping with the sound of water dribbling over rocks, nor is there anything like waking up to it. The hotel is right on the river. It's beautiful. The rest of the experience is awful. I will list things you won't find at Rocky Waters room 124: Unicorns, Internet access, soap trays in the shower, shower curtains, towel racks, carpet, iron,a balcony table, and any HD TV show. There's cable on a flat screen TV you'll watch in a small box because they don't pay for the HD package. I've often wondered how "Hotel Manager" is such an important job that it warrants entire categories on job sites, but now I understand. My room was completed by someone who has never been to a hotel. The bathroom had no towel racks. The shower had no soap rack.I had to buy my own soap rack. As a further insult, there was a placard saying "Please hang your towels on the rack so we don't wash them to save the environment" - there were no towel racks. I hung them on the dress rack hangers near the door.

Old school over looking the river!

Nice hotel with river view

Nice clean room. Only problem was wifi didn't work because we were in very last room from lobby. Note that breakfast and the pool is at their sister hotel which is probably a 10 minute walk. Staff was nice and helpful.
