Nice place to stay close to the mountains.Posted Nov 3, 2015
Pros: The location was excellent for where we wanted to be.
Cons: Better breakfast offerings and a staff person that cared about the breakfast.
Location: It was Cades Cove and that's what we wanted.
It was a pleasure trip to make pictures of the mountains. The room was adequate. I wanted a king bed but since I booked late a king room wasn't available. The WiFi was pretty good. The bathroom was clean but they didn't give us enough towels and washcloths. When my husband went to the front desk to ask for more linens and a bath mat.....there were no bath mats. The lady at the desk gave him a small towel and said, here use this. It was smoke free but people on the balcony were smoking and you had to walk through their smoke to get to your room. Not ideal in my situation....bad allergies to smoke. The breakfast was terrible. The eggs were the only thing warm. The grits were awful, they were grainy like sand and not hot. The gravy for the biscuits was very runny and there was no bacon. Things were placed in strange places in the dining area (condiments, etc)l

Cades Cove stayPosted Aug 19, 2015 on Hotels
Beautiful location. Very comfortable rooms and breakfast was very good. Check in clerk when I arrived didn't know how to properly check in a 3rd party reservation. I booked through hotels.com and was to pay upon arrival. The credit card on file kept declining when she was checking me in. I told her that it was a hold and she needed to run my card. She just gave ME the number to hotels.com and told me to call them and sort it out. She eventually ramy my card and all was good. Despite that everything was good. Will stay here again.

Earlier breakfastPosted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
room and front desk service was very good. The only problem that I would say was the breakfast on the morning. Lobby was completely closed til 7am. In the Cade's cove area, people want to get up and get started early to drive to Cade's cove to see the wildlife. Not possible when breakfast isn't until 7. Couldn't even get coffee. Eggs were overcooked, sausage was cold

The tub water dripped for 2 days straight. We brought it to the attention of the keeper. Never was fixed. Great breakfast.
