Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

I want to start by saying that we knew this wouldn't be a 5-star resort. My husband and I often stay at low star places because we'd rather spend our money on the experiences as opposed to the accommodations. This place was the worst place I've ever stayed.
First, the rooms and all facilities are disgusting. The pillows/linens were dirty, the dresser was literally falling apart (I took pictures), and the carpet was sticky.
Second, the walls are paper thin. Yes, I understand it's a hotel and we shouldn't expect silence, but you can hear EVERYTHING. When our neighbors were in their room, you could hear their convo word for word and they were not talking above a normal tone.
The best part was when I turned the heater on. There was an AWFUL smell and then the fire alarm went off. It took me 30 mins to get in contact with the front desk. When I finally did, their solution was to just turn it on and let it run for awhile and just unplug the smoke detector. Safety at it's finest. I do understand that heaters have a stench after not being turned on for a season, but this was beyond that.
My husband flips homes for a living and he was even disgusted by this place. We booked for 2 nights and didn't even stay the 2nd night and just went elsewhere.
Not worth the money!!! We stayed somewhere else for $15 less and it was 100 times nicer and right on the Gatlinburg strip as well. The breakfast is crap, the pools are gross, everything is sticky, and you just feel nasty being in there.
