I liked that it was close to things but tucked away as well so it was quiet. The only thing I found inconvenient was the slowness of the elevator. Each time we needed to use it, it seemed to take an extreme amount of time before it came to the floor we were on. It didn’t matter if we were on the ground floor or the floor we stayed on.

The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. The room had a window, but we were above the entrance and the window was totally blocked with a concrete structure. When I booked the room, the website said they had multiple rooms available. The hotel shouldn’t have given us this room if other rooms were available.

I was traveling 2 days before Christmas and needed to stop for the night with my kids. I got a Suite online for 200 bucks. I got to the room and it is NOT a suite. It is a large single room with 2 beds and a pull out couch. This is NOT A SUITE! A suite has a door between the beds and living space. I ask the heavy set male at the front desk and he did not care at all. He said that a single room is what Holiday Inn calls a "SUITE". He knows it is false advertizing. He did not apologise or offer any solution option. He just blamed ME and Travelocity. I will not return to Holiday Inn because they are liers. Sincerely, Kevin

Need thicker curtains on the windows. It was like daylight all night with the street lights beaming inside. Didn’t get a wink of rest. No linens in the room for the pull out couch. Had to go downstairs to front desk and request them.

The street lights can be bright in the evenings, and we hoped the blackout shades would resolve this issue for guests that are more comfortable sleeping in darker rooms.Due to keeping the linens cleaner for each guest we keep them at the front desk so they are fresh.We hope to see you again in the future, and we can put you in a room not facing the street so that you can have a more enjoyable stay.We appreciate you choosing Holiday Inn Express! Our room was just what we wanted! Comfortable bed and quiet hallway. We left towels outside our door each day and picked up clean ones when we returned. There is a Bass Pro and The Chop House restaurant within walking distance. If you are going into Gatlinburg and surrounding areas you will have to drive. Staff were great and we had breakfast on our last day at motel - egg white veggie omelet was very tasty! Also, try out Apple Wood restaurant and shops off the Winfield Dunn Parkway onto Apple Valley drive, very good. All around great trip and our great days were thanks to a good nights rest at Holiday Inn Express❤️

Decent place, not great.
Not a bad place to stay but lacking on amenities. Not one vending machine in the building and the truck to stock the small, limited store did not come so there was nothing in there. Good location, lots of construction stuff going on so parking was limited. Elevator was super loud and smelled funny. Room was clean and comfortable except window had some type of film on it that made it hard to see out of.

Great hotel
Jessica at the front desk noticed the room type we booked was unavailable, and immediately called us to offer a solution. She was fantastic at check in too! The hotel is recently renovated, and very comfortable. The fridge in our room was leaking water, and the AC looked like it could use a good cleaning, but the hotel room was clean otherwise.

Location needs upgrades and help
This location needs upgrades. The tv in the room did not work the entire time. The halls were as hot as the outside. An elevator was not working. When getting to the room we we discovered that no hand soap was in the bathroom so we asked for them to bring us some since it was early evening and was told that we would have to go to the front desk to get it because there was only one person working. Bad experience. Will not be back to this location
