When booking this hotel, please be careful not to mistake the Margaritaville Island Inn with the Margarita Island Hotel. The latter has rooftop and lobby bars, much nicer rooms, and is centrally located on the island. When we arrived to the smaller hotel, we were surprised and a little upset, especially when we heard four other families complaining about the same issue with feeling as though they were duped into booking the wrong hotel. What makes it even weirder is the issue happens so frequently that the Inn requires you to stay in your room for one night and then is willing to cancel the rest of your bill if you upgrade to the Island Hotel for the rest of your stay. Both places ended up solving our issue but it took up an entire evening of our first day and our second morning in Pigeon Forge on the phone with Expedia and calling back and forth between the Inn and Hotel.
Now, that being said, the Island Inn is a nice, clean hotel that is still in a good location. It has an outdoor pool and a good breakfast. The staff members are also nice and friendly. The rooms are what I would label as mid-grade in terms of being nice and having amenities. My wife and I labeled the Inn as being a great place you stay for a night or two and the Island Hotel as a place you can stay for the week.
