close to restaurants and shows

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: big rooms,
rooms excellent for size and furnishings. I had to wipe some water that spilled on bathroom floor and found the towel picked up noticeable dirt from the floor. front desk attendants need to take a class in customer service relations and proper tone of voice when dealing with guests

Only down fall was the road noise in our room, but was not enough to keep us a wake...location of the resort is fantastic!

Beautiful view. Great room with gas fireplace.

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Pros: It was quiet even though it was near a very busy area of town.
Location: Plenty of shopping and good restaurants near by.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The room was fabulous with great views from balcony. Staff was very helpful and it was close to everything we wanted to do.

Hotel close to activities

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Close to everything, very comfortable, a little pricey for the condo so you would want to spend a couple days to make use of it.
Cons: The check in staff - not real friendly or informative.
Location: Pigeon Forge - about a block from the Parkway Road, a mile or so from Dollywood, about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg, loads of gift shops, restaurants etc
This resort/hotel is only a block off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge from anything - the town, restaurants, shops, Dollywood and Gatlinburg/Great Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park. You could walk to some of the shops and the Dixie Stampede, however since the town is spread out, you would want to take your car. There is a lot to see in Pigeon Forge if you want to explore. Then go about 10 minutes up the road to Gatlinburg and enter that town of a thousand shops and more! Definitely go to the Smoky Mountains and do the Cades Cove Loop drive - so well worth it! It is all paved the whole way - the first 25 miles to get there are very windy but pretty flat roads, then the 11 mile loop is a one way road, plenty of places to pull over for photo ops, walk to 3 churches and buildings that are from the 1800's to explore plus hikes to the water falls. Get a map at the visitor center and take a day or 2 here! It's absolutely beautiful. Was there November 9th and the crowds were very low and the weather perfect!

Our weekend getaway

Posted Nov 4, 2016
Pros: This hotel was in a wonderful location. It was so close to all the action, but yet it was so quiet. Loves the club house and had it all to ourselves most of the time. The room was very nice and clean.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is coffee. My husband forgot to bring some and we couldn't find any in the whole complex, so we had to go out and fight the traffic for a cup of coffee. 😳
Location: It was very easy to get to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Plus the trolley depot was just down the road.

Thank you so much for staying at Riverstone Resort and Spa! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We do keep coffee in the lobby by the front desk 24 hours, so next time stop on by! We also sell coffee for the rooms, as well. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to having you back at Riverstone Resort and Spa.

Luxurious and Spacious Hotel

Posted Oct 26, 2016 on Hotels
This was a lovely place with a large common area and two bedrooms. There were two private balconies and a screened in porch at the entry way. The bathrooms were large and luxurious. The entire place was immaculate. There was a TV with a DVD player - sadly, we only brought Blu-Rays. My only complaint was that the spa is WAY overpriced. They were charging NYC prices for Pigeon Forge. One hour massage for $125, with tax AND a mandatory 20% tip added to that. I think that's absurd - especially dictating how much tip I must leave.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed the resort, I do apologize that you were upset with the price of the spa. I will pass all the information along to the spa manager. We do offer discounts for several things, such as you staying on site, we have packages and more. They always do specials this time of year as well. Just wanted to make sure that these were options your were offered and once again I will pass this information onto the spa manager. Thank you and we do hope to see you again soon.

Pros: Beds were comfortable, showers were very nice, and the fireplace was great.
Cons: Getting into the resort was time consuming at certain times. No restaurant or lounge at the resort was kind of a bummer.Small balconies.
Location: Not within walking distance to any attractions.Dollywood is a couple of miles from the resort and The Island, which has plenty of shoppes and rides is
The resort has a well maintained indoor pool, hot tub,and gameroom. The grounds are well maintained also, very neat and clean.Sheltered parking was also a plus. They had a nice lazy river, but it was a bit too cool to enjoy.I would stay here again, though being a little closer to the Island would have been better. We had to drive everywhere we went.
