Hotel close to activities

This resort/hotel is only a block off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge from anything - the town, restaurants, shops, Dollywood and Gatlinburg/Great Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park. You could walk to some of the shops and the Dixie Stampede, however since the town is spread out, you would want to take your car. There is a lot to see in Pigeon Forge if you want to explore. Then go about 10 minutes up the road to Gatlinburg and enter that town of a thousand shops and more! Definitely go to the Smoky Mountains and do the Cades Cove Loop drive - so well worth it! It is all paved the whole way - the first 25 miles to get there are very windy but pretty flat roads, then the 11 mile loop is a one way road, plenty of places to pull over for photo ops, walk to 3 churches and buildings that are from the 1800's to explore plus hikes to the water falls. Get a map at the visitor center and take a day or 2 here! It's absolutely beautiful. Was there November 9th and the crowds were very low and the weather perfect!
