First off let me say we absolutely love Park Vista. Have been staying there for the past 22 yrs. Now have saying that I need to express that if you have back issues and you’re looking for a comfortable bed, this is not the hotel you want to stay at. Park Vista, I absolutely adore you but can we please do something with those mattresses? We ended up leaving early at 3 am this morning and cut our trip short after tossing and turning for 4 hrs.

The front desk employees were not friendly or accommodating. We did not get anything that I requested before checking in. I had emailed the hotel directly and asked for certain information regarding our room before our trip and they responded that it would not be a problem but did not accommodate. They put us on the highest floor when I asked to be on a lower floor because my husband had arthritis and disabled veteran when I made the reservation. The restaurant was not good at all and too expensive. It needs an update, to be cleaned, and ants were in the pool area. The view from our room was nice and that was about it. But no chairs on balcony and outdoor mountaintop area was not accessible for guests. You have to pay 15$ a day to park in the hotel parking lot which made no sense. A trolley takes you to Gatlinburg so that was convenient but trolley isn’t hotels. We mostly were walking around Gatlinburg anyway so we still had a good vacation. We will stay somewhere else next visit.

The property was a great location,on top of the hill overlooking downtown area. Great view of mountains also. trolley was available all day. Only bad was the beds were not very comfortable, no breakfast included

The property was nice. It is dated for the price. There was no hand soap or body wash, they put extra shampoo in place of actual soap. It was very dusty and parts of the room hadn’t been dusted or vacuumed for awhile.

Loved the pool and elevators and family suite. Food at restaurant was just ok. Like the unique location but also that was problematic when trying to get into town, should be more info about the trolley at the front desk. Loved that we could bring our dog.

My family and I stay here every time we visit Gatlinburg . We love the pool with the slides , however this time one of the slides was closed off . My little one was disappointed however he quickly forgot about it and moved on to the big slide . We always enjoy the breakfast Buffett. The trolley makes visiting downtown so much more convenient. I can’t complain because we love this hotel , would give it an 8 and visit again . I was looking forward to being able to order pizza in one night but it was not available. I also rave about how comfortable the beds are however this time the down comforter was so thin that it was like a sheet . I held it up and you could see just little bits of down stuffing a some areas . I was shocked that this is even being used anymore . I quickly remedied the situation by turning up the heat . These were just a couple things that weren’t perfect but wouldn’t keep Us from coming back .

I had an issue where they didn't stock my room before I arrived. No shampoo and body wash. We also didn't get any hand soap. This was quickly rectified. Otherwise it's a great hotel. Lots of dogs. Great view of the mountains and city. Quiet and lots of elevators. Breakfast and dinner kind of expensive. Pool is awesome!

So the indoor pool is great for kids. The views are really nice. Rooms nice but a little dated. Can take shuttle to town but the first couple will be filled so if want to get to Gatlinburg early, drive. The main complaint is checking out. No luggage carts to be found anywhere and the hotel is huge with cars not close. I think me and 50 or so other ppl were continuously going up and down to load the cars. So take a cart a day early or be prepared to carry a ton of stuff. Please invest in some more carts and some area on the lobby level to hold them. Also hard to get an elevator in the morning, they have 5 of them but the hotel is just crowded with tons ppl so it is what it is. Definitely nice but some downfalls.

Really liked the hotel. We had a moutain view from our room. Friendly and helpful staff. There’s a trolly to take you to town and back. The food was delicious. The only thing I didn’t like was how packed the pool was and overrun by a lot of kids so we couldn’t enjoy it. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed the staff and overall property. We had the family suite and really liked having 2 bathrooms and separate bedroom for the kids. The pool area was nice. Kids loved the slide.

Hotel is nice. It’s an older property but well maintained. Lots of parking. Great views from our room. Short drive to everything in Gatlinburg. It’s our second time here. Will definitely stay again if we come back to Gatlinburg

There were several Pros and Cons for this location. Pros: Great Restaurant and well stocked Bar, Friendly and helpful staff, views were stunning, plenty of parking.Trolly picks up/drops off every 30 minutes. Cons: The bed was not comfortable at all. It is not walkable to downtown so you either have to drive or take the trolly. The trolly pick up and drop offs are iffy after 8:00 pm ( this has nothing to do with the hotel, just an FYI if you are out later and are expectingto take trolly back. Uber is also iffy do not count on Uber)

The hotel smelled nice. But the rooms were dirty. The sink was clogged and there was dust everywhere. The pillows on the bed also had other peoples hairs on them. The whole place didn’t look like it has been wiped down in a while. Furniture also looks run down with scratches and the discolored corners. I noticed all of this my first night but due to it being late, being tired from a long drive, I didn’t have the energy to complain or request a new room.

A great resort for family’s and a work trip. The indoor pool area was amazing, how ever one of the slides is broken and after speaking with a few people it seems to have been broken awhile. The views from this resort is amazing and the design is different then other resorts. ( be prepared for high winds in the area) the resort is built to withstand severe weather. I would highly recommend this resort. The only thing be aware of the trolley time during busy season.

The good - clean, quiet, amazing mountain view (worth paying more for a room “with mountain view,” great pool area, it’s an older hotel but it’s been well taken care of, fast and good room service whenever we wanted to order food or needed extra of anything The bad - furniture in rooms seriously need updating (the dressers and desks look pretty worn down), the lady who is I charge of seating at breakfast seems to always be in a bad mood, and we didn’t have a rental car and relied on the free trolley system (which turned out to be unreliable… and when we asked the front desk what to do… and instead of providing us with a taxi service of some sort basically told us we were out of luck and just stuck at the hotel) Ubers and Lyfts are not readily available in this area - so if we had to do it again… we would either rent a car or definitely look up taxi services in the area anead of time and don’t rely on the free public transportation - it was great when it was available, but early mornings and late at night - you’ll need a car or taxi. Also the hotel charged us for parking when we didn’t have a car - good thing we reviewed the charges before checking out. We would stay there again and would recommend to our family and friends - just have your transportation already figured out in advance.
