Gatwick south terminal

Very close to the airport, five minute walk away. Executive lounge is well worth the additional cost.

I had an early flight out so it worked out great. I had a big breakfast at the hotel then left for the airport

Good location but not that good!

Our room had not been vacuumed, we could see fluff and stuff on the carpet. It was noisy as well , being near the bar area , one floor up but our door was near the courtyard area so the sound going up.the restaurant was overpriced. The bed was really uncomfortable and looked cheap and poor quality!!

Battered hotel, but well located.

Pros: Location
Cons: Refurb needed
For one night OK. Very tired decor, but as it means you don't have to go out into th rain to get there from the terminal, it's convenient.

Nice hotel right next to the airport

Very nice hotel, very helpful staff. I had a quiet, clean room and very comfortable bed! Will stay there again, for sure.

Great location For south terminal flights

Pros: Walk to terminal rather than taking bus shuttle.
Cons: Newer part is quite a distance to exit.
Location: Train station in south terminal to take you elsewhere.
The hotel is a little dated but comfortable and clean all the same. Ideal if your flight is leaving from the south terminal, but not so convenient if your flight is leaving from the North terminal.

Good airport hotel but needs a refurb

Pros: Location, price
Cons: It needs a full refurb
Staff friendly and amenable but property is tired. Carpets are threadbare in hallways and in my bathroom the shower tap was dislodged from the wall and the bathroom was generally worn out. In this condition the hotel is not 4 star but to be fair this is probably reflected in the price and it’s lovation is excellent for a morning flight out of Gatwick south

Very handy for flights.

Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. Good choice of eating places.
Cons: Everything good already.
Location: Next to airport.
Have stayed here several times for next day flights. Makes for a leisurely start to any trip. Rather a long trek from reception to our room, but the exercise is probably good when you are facing a long haul trip!

No rest at the Hilton

Stayed at the hotel to be well rested before a long flight. Walls thin and hence noisy. Next to service doors so lots of banging about and staff shouting down the corridor ended up getting up at 6.30 even though had booked a late check out. Phone went at 5am with no answer. Bathroom was patched up and dirty. Period started, not able to buy or be given feminine items, told to walk to terminal and buy from Boots-5 minute walk. Unbelievable for a supposed modern hotel. Would be interesting if I were a man needing a condom, I’m betting they wouldn’t be walking to Boots!!! Maybe worth reviewing your policies on this matter. No rest and feel unprepared for a 24 hour journey. Won’t be returning.

Restaurant staff and food not up to snuff

Pros: Room except for shower with low temp water.
Cons: Restaurant and Shower.
Location: Location is long walk with cases.
Duck main course was not good at all. Duck was tough as meat had a lot of tough gristle rather than normal duck fat. A real let down plus the sauce just merged into a tasteless mess. Manager authorized a 10% discount but not sufficient to save face. We will be staying at Sofitel on next trip.
