Front Desk service was very helpful. Location was right on the train/trolley line...and they gave a Free rider pass, which we used every day.

Check in was not good. We were not given the wifi password at check in and tried calling the reception from our room - the phone in the room was dead! Had to go back down and ask for the password. Next day we found out whenstaying in a Geneva hotel you get free transportation all over the city. We were not told about this at check in. When we asked for it the next day we were given each a ticket to use. This should have been given to us at time of check in. Rest of the staff were nice and helpful and breakfast was very nice.

Perfect hotel
Great little hotel. All the staff was super nice. Room was bigger then expected for a European hotel. We wished we would have gotten the breakfast deal, next time. A big plus I was the free bus-tram passes. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel diplomate is in the heart of Geneva. Easy access to business offices and town . Transport facilities are good too. Please make sure you request a quiet room , off the road side room to avoid the tram noise. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is ok. But you have to get in early before it runs out :-)

Sewer stench
The room smelled like a sewer drain at all times, especially if the bathroom was door was open. The bed was supposed to be a king sized one but it was just two twins put together. I would not stay here again.

As I said before the kindness of staff at the front desk and the kitchen is exemplary showing a readiness to make the guests feel comfortable and happy in the hotel environment. No effort was spared to do so based on my own experience.

Good Hotel Really Bad Internet
The hotel itself was fine. The location is great. The internet sucks. Less than 5mbs all the time. In today’s world anything less than 50mbs is ridiculous.

All the staff were wonderful from reception staff to breakfast staff. Very helpful in arranging public transport for me and getting a charger for my phone. The mini bar was helpful too as I arrived late in the evening and was thirsty.

Located on a tram road opposite supermarket. Tram and various bus stages 3 and 6 minutes away respectively. Twin room is rather small with no coffee making facilities. High standard of cleanliness mantained. Noise from trams/road bearable

Pros - Good location, good price for Geneva, easy check-in and welcoming staff, comfy beds. Cons - The shower is very small and the shower curtain keeps sticking to your body. Not a fun experience. I had to stand sideways to shower and have my wife pull the curtain away from me to finish showering. Please add heavier shower curtains or circular shaped curtain rods to give more space. Good hotel overall, just a bad shower experience.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was super quiet at night, during part of the daytime, there is a music school nearby that you can hear if you open your balcony. The hotel also provided me with a transportation pass for all the days I was there! It was an awesome bonus to travel the city! The staff printed me things I needed and were always kind. Wake up calls were on time, yes I know, I need that on top of an alarm sometimes.

Old but clean. Small room and tiny bathroom. Worst breakfast ever seen: fruit and yogurt only one day out of 5. Coffee out of a jug. If you are a budget traveller but want some comfort, that’s the right place. Close to downtown, restaurants and shops. Tram stop a stone throw away.

4 star hotel what is now 2 star hotel
I choose hotel because it's have 4 start rate and it have all services. There was no breakfast at morning. And breakfast was main reason to choose that hotel.

The hotel was very handy near supermarket and trams , close to city centre. Staff were very nice , it was clean , the only problem was it had old fashioned decoration. I didn’t have breakfast there, it was very expensive.

Good hotel close to the centre.
Located a 10-15 min walk from the lake, on a busy street with trams going past, not moisy with window closed though. The room was nice, bed soft, tv had english channels. There were some marks on the pillow cases and the chandelier wasn’t fitted to the ceilng correctly, otherwise a very nice room. Expensive breakfast at CHF26. Limited parking behind the hotel at CHF32/nt. there is a lift, but it is small, enough room for obe person and a suitcase. Would stay here again.

They try their best bit no way is that a 4 star hotel. Tiny rooms, smaller bathrooms, noise from floors and tram outside. Receptionist not knowing basics like how much is a taxi to the airport.

The hotel is very tired. Never a 4 star. The rooms are dirty . Mouldy food in the cupboards tomato bread dog ends on the window ledge of a non smoking room . If it would have been more than one night would have complained
