Close to town

Posted Dec 14, 2017
Pros: Staff, views and closeness to town centre
Cons: Some rooms need to be updated. Be informed of any noise that may occur due to parties, ongoing maintenance
Location: Great location you can go for walks, its scenic. Walk to town visit shops, bars, eateries.
The staff are really pleasant from reception staff to maids. The hotel is a walk away from town and the views were lovely to wake up and go to sleep to. There was some work going on so a lot of banging for 2 days. We had to change rooms due to noise from the 4th floor where parties are hosted. Rooms were cleaned and staff were attentive. Good selection of drinks and the wine recommended to us in the bar was excellent.

Hotel near city centre

Posted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: Handy location for city.
Cons: Advise about the additional charges.
Location: Ok if you don’t mind walking. The Alhambra Palace is the main attraction and was located about 25 min walk very steep hill to climb.
This was sold as a Spa hotel which was the deciding factor when choosing it. The staff on checking in and in the bar area where very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were not a bad size but couldn’t control the heating. A little out of the city centre about a 15 min walk, ok if you don’t mind walking. Taxis reasonable enough for the odd trip back and to. The only disappointment was the spa area, there was on booking or in the hotel directory no mention of additional cost. This was mentioned by the spa staff when we visited. We believed that there was no cost and advised them so. The spa when located is only small with an inside pool and outdoor jacuzzi which was very chlorinated and lacking in any power. When checking out we were presented with a cost for the 1 visit, although this was discussed and Expedia sight visited, there was no mention of additional cost, but Hotel Manager was not accepting that we should not pay, this certainly spoilt our break away as don’t envisage having a heated exchange with hotel management about a cost which is not mentioned in any of the hotel advertising. The only additional costs ever mentioned was for breakfast and any spa treatments, which you expect to pay for. Manager advised us that the spa was run by a separate concern hence the charge.

Good location - however

Posted Sep 4, 2017
Location fantastic for Alhambra and the City centre was just a 10 min walk away . Pool and sun beds really good and plenty of availability . The rooms however were 'dated ' . The Headboards were detached from the wall . Wires were visible from the wall lights . Access to the far rooms wasn't ideal as you have to tackle a large set of steps from the reception into the bar area .

Great Location, very nice hotel

No complaints. The pool area was lovely with a pool side bar and helpful bar staff. Hotel décor was pleasant and the room was clean and well maintained. Water noise from Spa was a bit disturbing one night for some reason. The other nights it was fine. Great central location - Alhambra and city centre within easy walking distance

The balcony door did not shut properly and as a result the room was very noisy. We were surprised to find that local school children and private parties use the pool and so the guests have very little chance to use the pool.

We had a great stay here. Pool area was fun and lively. Room was clean and neat. Breakfast buffet very nice. Walk to town and Alhambra was safe but a bit far. Could use better info for visiting the local sights and tours.

Hotel is beautiful, service is very good, nice location, but maintenance is not too good. A/C doesn't work properly...
