Great Hotel, Excellent Location!

Posted Jul 6, 2017
Pros: Location is brilliant. Beds are extremely comfortable. Staff welcoming. Rooms pleasant and air condition works well.
Cons: For its star rating, I am not sure anything could be improved.
Location: Located at the end of Via Garibaldi (the main tourist street), but opens onto quiet alleys and less than 10 minutes walk from the harbour. Fabulous!
Great welcome on arrival and good sized rooms with extremely comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked (not always the case in Italy!) and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was brilliant for 3 euros - great choice, constantly stocked up. The hotel could not be better located giving easy access to main tourist centre, whilst being less than a 10 minute walk from the harbour. It is on the edge of the old part of town and you walk out straight into the lovely cool alleys with interesting little shops and cafes. Room was clean, quite large and quiet. Also, nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room (not often the case in Italy) and free focaccia and cakes out each day to eat. I would thoroughly recommend it!

Luggage stolen.

Posted May 23, 2017
Our luggage was stolen from inside the hotel lobby by 2 guys who followed us in from outside. Not the hotels fault but the location is bad. The girls at the desk were great but as you can imagine that does not fix the way we felt overall. I personally did not feel safe in the whole city. Travelling Italy for 3 weeks and this city is by far the worst place. I made a.mistake adding this city to the tour. Trust me one day here its to many.

City centre stay

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: Charming and helpful staff. Good value breakfast. Well stocked mini-bar.
Location: Convenient for both the old town with bus stop nearby
A short three night stay in the centre of Genova exploring the old town and some interesting walks on the margins of the city. The Hotel was ideal for the purpose and can recommend it. A tip, many of the local restaurants are not tourism orientated - so book in advance! The local pizza place was, however excellent. (On way to Piazza de.Ferrai )

Central Hotel

Posted Apr 11, 2017
Pros: Location - near Via Garibaldi and centre. Also underground Comfortable, clean Breakfast
Cons: Get rid of polystyrene and plastic! Otherwise great
Location: Town centre, Via Garibaldi, Pandemonio Via Lomellini good food at good price. Underground - to station and volubus, no need for taxi
Staff friendly. Bed comfortable and large. 2 pillows. Big shower. Minibar (fridge), Safe. TV ,free WiFi. Air con - did not use as not needed. Tea Tray with kettle and beverages - but awful polystyrene cups ( this seems bad when they spend a lot of space in the room information talking about green creditials, these only seem to extend as far as reusing your towel though) Glasses plastic and come in plastic bags - all to be disposed of! Lift Well lit bedroom for reading Not much space to put clothing away. Noisy location as to be expected in centre of town Breakfast comprehensive very tasty and exceedingly good value at 3 E. Free snacks put on bar for guests. Given map on arrival.

Great location, lovely old hotel

This is a wonderful old hotel in the historical area of Genoa, within walking distance to the palaces, churches and museums. It is small but well maintained, with a friendly and helpful staff.

Great location, super friendly staff

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Great staff and location.
Cons: Soundproofing!
Location: Good transport links, easy access to port/marina, tourist sights etc. Not a great choice of restaurants. A lot don't open until after 7.30pm.
This was a good hotel location wise. Reception staff, in particular Nicole, were excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. Only downside to this hotel was the lack of soundproofing and even on the "quieter" side it was noisy. However if you are unlike me and a good sleeper it was a good hotel to stay in. Powerful shower and breakfast was more than adequate.
