Rarely I leave a review - I must be extremely satisfied or dissatisfied. In this case it’s the first. Genoa is a city full of hidden marvelsnand the staff at reception will be there to help you find them and enjoy them. The hotel itself is a masterpiece - somewhere halfway grand hotel Budapest and a setting for an old Dario argento film. This hotel is a unique experience I recommend to everyone.

Pros: Room, staff, breakfast, spa - perfection.
This was our second visit, we love this hotel. We had an executive double and this visit we had time to use the spa. Can’t fault anything about this hotel. La superba is a fitting city for this wonderful hotel.

Good location and view of the square. Across from train station. No issue with noise. Large dining room not open for lunch or dinner. Large bedrooms and small bathrooms. Antique furnishings. Hotel opened in 1897. Elegant, cozy public areas. Grand old hotel!

Pros: Location, Friendly Staff, Great Food
We had a wonderful weekend at the GHS in February. The hotel is located right across the square from the train station for easy access. The room was large and comfortable with a large bathroom and modern amenities. There is a pirate loft for the kids to play, a stunning bar for a quiet drink and a lovely formal dining room for a full breakfast or a wonderful end of day meal. The staff were polite and attentive and accommodated all requests quickly. Your couldn't pick a better place.

Hotel had a great service and accommodations. Very clean, comfortable, spacious room and bathroom. Hotel stuff provide research and information regarding offsite arrangements at a medical center; Tralalero manager helped with great recommendations for a large dinner party. We were very happy! Complimentary bottle of champagne received for my husbands 50th. This was such a kind and thoughtful gesture! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is absolutely beautiful comfortable rooms all mod-con facilities, free Wi-Fi. Breakfast bar had a great selection of hot and cold food. Staff were very pleasant and printed off train timetable for us and gave us a map highlighted nearby places of interest. Bus station and train station literally across the road town centre 20 minute walk beautiful big city with lots to see lots to do will definitely stay here again.

first time to italy and the hotel was wonderful, in a good position and the hotel staff were very helpful. we had a great week exploring the area the only fault is to have had a little more choice on the menu in the restaurant but we did eat in there and the food was excellent brilliant spa also

Cons: New staff training
Location: Location is good, the hop on hop off is across the street which is perfect. Actually apart from my expeirience Genoa is unique.
Arrived exhuasted to be met by a receptionist who claimed my card was declined,which proved not the case when i contacted the card company. When gave her another card, she took the whole amount, did not say thank you and just put the card on the counter. Another receptionist tried to make amends by telling us we could check out any time, after we asked for the manager, who was unavailable! Rooms are clean, bed not comfy, dinner was very good at their restaurant. The best person at that hotel, was the bell boy Antonio, who actually knows what working at a hotel means.
