Location: Close to family

Great stay

We stayed overnight before a cruise. Staff was very nice. Charles the shuttle driver was very helpful.

An Aging Property

Pros: Location and rate.
Cons: See above.
Wyndham would not be proud of this location. Peeling paint in bathroom, inoperable back door, no phone cord in room, no tissues anywhere (only toilet paper), bathroom sink that doesn't drain, carpet that is old and worn, paper-thin towels and washcloths.......a property that is considerably past its prime. Rates are competitive but quality of hotel is certainly not up to quality of other Wingate hotels we have experienced.

Hotel close to airport

Close to airport, easygoing friendly going staffers, nice free breakfast with cozy lounging area but no ice machine on the third floor.

The front desk staff was very helpful with my sister-in-law's stay. they really went above and beyond to serve us. best service I have ever received from the hotel staff.

Disappointing stay, No airport shuttle as promised

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: A lot. Change of management should not mean change of service to your customers.
I arrived in late at the airport and was looking forward to getting to the hotel to crash for a few hours before flying out again early the next morning. I called the hotel to arrange for the 'airport shuttle', that was promised on their website when I booked, to find out that they no longer provided the service. For someone who is coming in to the area and knows nothing, it was very frustrating. I would not have stayed here had I known. I ended up having to use Uber for both my arrival and departure, adding close to $40 in extra fees that I had not planned on while travelling. The hotel was ok, but nothing fancy. The bed was uncomfortable but I was too tired to care. I will not be staying here again in the future when passing through Houston.
