Great place for adults who gamble. Not much for kids except pool , especially the town. The town is ALL casinos

Great rooms - beds extremely comfortable - and bathrooms, exceptional. Views are spectacular and the pool and work-out areas are perfect. Truly will go back as often a I can.

Incovenient location and terrible layout.

Pros: Clean room. Large room.
Cons: Better signage pointing the ways from the hotel to the parking garage and pointing to the Starbucks (supposedly located somewhere within the complex).
Location: Remote location. Stick to Golden or Boulder.
Way out in the middle of nowhere. The layout of the hotel/gambling complex is confusing at best. Room was nice & clean, but the frustrations of accessing parking & even finding morning coffee within the complex (best way to describe the maze of hotel/casino/parking garage) was too much for us who had no interest in spending any time in a casino.

Really appreciated the available bell hops and valet service! Food was excellent everywhere we went and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Not as good quality as in the past

1.Room wasn't ready at 4:30 pm on a Thursday 2. Room had 1 bottle of water and 1 towel. No brew basket in the coffee maker. Housekeeping did bring a case of water and 8 towels which was over kill. 3. Room was clean, attractive, comfortable bed and nice views. 4. Timberline Grill was nice, good food & service. Shrimp cocktail seemed pricey at $14 for 5 mushy shrimp curled up on a plate. 5. Brunch at Fireside Grill was less than expected. Biscuits and gravy were plain biscu its not the chive as described on the menu. Gravy tasted like packaged chicken gravy. Burger with pork belly was a bad combination of textures and difficult to eat because of that. We have stayed here before and had high expectations of what we always thought was Blackhawk's premier property.

Everything was great just need to add a microwave and have the pool open till at least 12 and it will be complete

Biggest Hotel and Casino in Black Hawk Colorado

Pros: The location and design of the facility is good. The pool and hot tubs on the top floor are excellent. The casino is Vegas style.
Cons: Housekeeping is disorganized, front desk is overworked and short tempered
[2 rooms] Great facility, mediocre to terrible service. I called ahead to let them know we would have a late check in, (on a prepaid room.) Rooms were not available when we arrived. After a long wait we were put into handicapped rooms rather than upgrade. Also told to return the next day to get the room type we had purchased. I returned the next day 4 times trying to change the rooms. Each time, except for the last, the front desk personnel were stressed out, frustrated and not very helpful. In the room - phone didn't work, bath drain was clogged. Housekeeping said it wasn't their problem to call maintenance. They didn't offer any information on how to call maintenance. Housekeeping came incredibly late each day, first day after 4, second at 6:30 p.m.

Nice hotel but service was not what was expected.

We checked in an hour after check-in but our room wasn't ready. Once we were in our room there was a knock at the door. If I hadn't answered the service guy wold have just come in. He needed to update the TV software. This took about 20 -25 minutes. Seemed rude. Very expensive to have to deal with poor service.

Exceeded expectations

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and our hotel room, which was just a king room felt like a high-end suite. It was so clean and smoke-free that I would stay there compared to any place in and around Denver.

Beware of Staff

Pros: I like that is was non-smoking
Cons: Staff is rude, security personnel need to be better trained. Signs of discrimination also existed.
Location: Location was ok
Security guy threatened my wife because he thought she was under aged. Staff not responsive to basic inquiries such as info regarding hotel accommodations, etc. Defintiely will never stay at this hotel again or recommend someone.
