Could have been better

Oct. 13th was wifes birthday. Left room about 10:30am and went for a ride. Came back at 2:30pm and no room service had occurred. Tried calling the desk, but our cordless phone in our room was dead. Went to desk and explained my concern about no towels, bed not made and a phone that does't work. Desk clerk got on the phone and called housekeeping to clean our room (1604) and to replace the phone battery.We took a walk and returned to our room about 5:00pm and nothing had been done. We saw the housekeeping cart down the hallway and retrieved our own towel, shampoo etc .Finally around 5:30pm housekeeping knocked on our door to clean, we told them to leave. Needless to say, I went back to the desk and told them about what had happened and promised that we would never stay there again.
