Great room, air temperature not pleasing

Posted Oct 12, 2016
Cons: temperature control
Great room, great soaps, room was too hot and had to open the windows and then at 6:30am on a Saturday morning, the construction noises woke us up.

Wellllllll

Posted Oct 12, 2016
Pros: At least we got a decent nights rest.
Cons: Rooms were outdated.
Location: Well it's a casino town so that's the main draw here.
Room is comfortable but the place needs updating. Pretty noisy in room as people carry on conversations in hallway. Air conditioner didn't work so room was a little warm for sleeping. Not worth $133 that we paid for room.

Relaxing week in the mountains.

Posted Oct 5, 2016
Location: Isle is at the far end of Blackhawk but a really easy walk to the other casinos. Great location.
The room, staff and hotel were great. The Isle has been remodeled since we were there in the Spring and it was really nice. The only issue we had was our room was hot. They'd already switched the system to heat so it was really warm.

nice hotel off the main drag

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Pros: my wife liked the draw poker room being separated from the rest of the casino.
acceptable accommodations except our room faced the side of the mountain. Other than that , our stay was enjoyable.

Nice hotel close to several casinos

Posted Sep 21, 2016
Pros: The rooms and the casino area
Cons: better bartending staff and more cocktail waitresses to accommodate guest that are gambling.
This hotel was nice, rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. It appeared to have been remodeled since the last time we were there which was several years ago. I do feel it was a little high priced for a casino town, but all the hotels were high priced, this was one of the more affordable ones. Our biggest issue with the cocktail/bartending staff. We arrived on a Friday night and we only saw one cocktail waitress on the floor. That one waitress basically stayed in one place. We either had to go to her to order drinks or we had to go to the bar to order drinks. The bar charged us for our drinks even though we were actively gambling. The only time I could get a drink at the bar was if I was sitting at a machine. I thought the bartending staff was very unprofessional. They seemed to be more focused on each other rather than their customers, and at times they used foul language when talking to each other. A witnessed a customer approachthe bar to order drinks for himself and his friend. They gave him his drinks but told him next time he needed to order from the cocktail waitress...he explained he never saw one and she never came by only to be barked at by the bartender that "they come by every 30 minutes". We stayed two nights and can say this was not the case...at one time we sat for 40 minutes waiting to get a drink. IMO if you are going to charge $185.00 per night you should have the staff to accommodate your guest.

Casino hotel

Posted Sep 21, 2016
Pros: Hotel room was clean
Cons: Way overpriced for what you got; didn't run into many friendly staff members at front desk, restaurant, or casino.
Location: Black Hawk Colorado, casino town exclusively.
Room was $200+/night and the air conditioner could not be increased so it was warm in the room--had to ask maintenance to bring a fan to the room to cool it off. Key cards didn't work--we had to go back to the front desk 3 times during the 2 days we were there to have them rekeyed. Hotel/restaurant/casino staff weren't friendly and seemed to feel "put upon" by serving their customers. Will never stay at the Isle Hotel and Casino again.

Posted Sep 19, 2016
I was disappointed because I payed 507.00 for two days and we got a room no view just rocks and I asked for a big tub got one so small I could stretch my legs and I'm a thin person. Was a get away for my husband and myself. First time in black hawk. Otherwise it was good thank you Lisa Hollingshad

First time staying here. Nice place. Room was decent. Just right for a short stay. The elevators took forever to go anywhere. The buffet was being remodeled and had to go to a bbq one that was just ok.

The hotel was ok, but not the staff

Posted Sep 15, 2016
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: They need to answer the phones! check voice mail, return calls, and make much more of an effort to remedy situations and take issues more seriously.
While the room was comfortable and clean, the staff left a lot to be desired. The front desk picked up the phone the first time we called, right after we checked in...but that was the last time for the entire stay! We called 20-30 times throughout the evening and night, and not once was the phone picked up. It started because I was in a wheelchair (broken ankles) and got myself stuck and unable to get to my chair, so I called the front desk to ask for someone to come help - nothing. After ten calls that all went to voicemails, I gave up and just waited for my friend, who's cell service didn't work in the casino. Then we ran into a female emergency, and called another 10 times trying to see where we could find things to resolve the situation. No answers, and no call backs from my previous voicemails. After that we called a bunch just to see if we could get someone to pick up so we could give a message to the manager about how uncomfortable we were that no one was available for anything, and one actual emergency and one large inconvenience went completely ignored. At checkout they didn't acknowledge the gravity of the wheelchair situation and merely apologized after confirming that all calls are routed directly to the front desk, and yes, they always answer. There was not a manager available to take our complaint, and no efforts were made to remedy the situation. I will never be staying here again, and I will actively tell people to avoid it. Disappointing to say the least.
