Extra fees never told about

Ended up paying an extra $50 that was never told up front until they ran my credit card. When asked about it they said it was a deposit and would receive it back on the night of check out. Still haven't gotten my money back!

Good for what you came for, gambling.

Pros: Very clean and dependable
The buffet was adequate, but the food was sitting too long under the heat lamps. The room was comfy and clean, and the staff were always there to help with problems.

Nice place. Carpets needs cleaned in our room. Staff was friendly. Buffet was really good.

Nice Casino

Plenty of slot machines. Buffet is over rated, but the Steak House restaurant was really good with excellent service. Drinks are very weak. A lot of other Casinos are in walking distance. There is a trolley service. Slots are way too tight.

Comps are a scam

Pros: Not much - the gaming program did not work so we didn't get credit for our play to apply toward food. It was a disaster.

Location: Nice little town - beautiful setting!
I stayed at Isle of Capri last year - great hotel and great comps. We came back with family members - booked 3 rooms for a 4 day weekend. I confirmed on the Website that they had the play and stay program whereby we could get rooms comped for earning points. I booked my rooms through Expedia and got nothing from Expedia that I would not be able to comp the rooms. Upon arrival, there is a sign at the front desk that the Play and Stay program does not work for rooms booked on another site (i.e. Expedia). They did nothing for me and our weekend cost us over $800 more than we anticipated and there was nothing we could do. I am furious with Expedia and the hotel for ruining our weekend get-away - not only for my wife and I but also for my sister, sister-in-law and our daughter.

Good hotel for the Black Hawk area

Pros: The casino and buffet.
Cons: Better pillows and more of them.
They allowed us to have our dog in the room, but they only have two dog available rooms on the whole property. They were very accommodating.

Stay somewhere else

First - Pay for the hotel on Hotels.com. We chose to pay at the hotel and were charged more than what we had booked at. If I did not check my CC, I would not have known. I then had to go back to the front desk and work to get refunded back to what I was supposed to be charged. Second - The customer service is terrible in the casino. We sat at a table gambling for over an hour and a half without a waitress coming to ask if we would like a drink. Turns out they forgot to assign a waitress to the tables and none of the other waitresses would get us a drink. We asked the pit bosses several times, and they constantly gave the answer "they will be here shortly". When the waitress did show up, she was very rude. Next, we decided to grab a late bite at the buffet. Being new customers, we were supposed to get a free buffet after 30 minutes of play. My wife's player card went through ok, but they told me that mine didn't have the free buffet recorded and I would have to go get the pit boss to re-enter. I did this and then went back, and still no credit applied. I then had to go to customer service and they finally put it in for me. By the time I got back to the buffet, I now had 10 minutes left until they closed. When we first arrived at the buffet, there was more than 45 minutes left. Dealers were also rude. We left and spent the rest of our stay playing at other casinos. We will not be going back to the Isle.
