I would rate this hotel a "2"....

Pros: nothing really
Cons: the peeling paint from ceiling, more comfortable beds & pillows, I heard the road traffic...better sound proofing of room.
Bed was lumpy & uncomfortably soft. Pillows just as bad. when taking a shower I looked up & there was paint peeling from the ceiling & wall adjacent to the ceiling. when I arrived staff gave my husband & I keys to the incorrect room. I'm 59 & stayed at many hotels over my lifetime & I would not give this hotel a "3" & I feel I'm being generous by giving it a 2.. I've stayed at the "Isle of Capri" two or three times in the past & I would choose that hotel over Lady Luck in a heart beat. I took my husband to Lady Luck for his Bday & we were both very disappointed.

If we plan on coming back to Black Hawk I would stay at Lady Luck again. We had a great time and the staff was awesome!

Had a very good time there. The Hotel was clean and all of the staff was very helpful to a couple of naibobs who knew nothing about the area. Food was great at Calypso's.

Not family friendly

Pros: Facilty was nice. Room was clean.
Cons: Update Expedia description. If this hotel wants to label itself family friendly there should be some criteria to have that as an Expedia identifier.
Location: The hotel lists activities to do nearby, but those activities are really too far away if you intend to venture out from your hotel in Blackhawk.
Despite the Expedia description of having family friendly amenities the hotel and the town as a whole are devoid of anything family friendly. Hawk eyed staff will immediately label you a criminal if you have a child. Specifically, with the Lady Luck and Isle, the staff from top to bottom were unprofessional and were more than willing to complain about management and their hours when I checked in. In order to access the dining areas in the hotel you need to cross the game floor and get a security escort. During this "crossing of the Delaware" one overzealous dealer thought I was without my escort and immediately lost her head and forgot who the customer was. Cafe did not have any coffee or pastries ready at 7:30am. Overall, my experience was ruined because I brought the kids thinking Vegas family friendly having been deceived by the Expedia description. Also, some hotels don't allow any children so I thought Lady Luck would have upped their game having "family friendly amenities" or at least update their Expedia profile.

Looked Run Down.

Pros: The Room was Clean Thank you
Cons: Clean the Hall ways Better.
Location: Good Location to all other places around there.
The room was clean thank you. No one was at the front desk at time that we check in 9:15pm. Not a lot of help from personal working here. And no food for some one having to leave at 5:00or 6:00 AM.

Nice hotel, convenient location.

Pros: The location was convenient to other casinos.
Cons: More hot water, and better employees in the restaurant.
The hotel was ok, the walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors pretty clearly. We ran out of hot water in the morning. The hotel's restaurant was disappointing at best, the customer service there was pretty bad.

Nice hotel close to gaming

2 night stay first was very pleasant quiet relaxing. Second very loud neighbors. Screaming playing in the halls.

Management needs to step it up.

The signs told us that there was valet parking but there wasn't. The staff was misinformed of what it takes to earn a free meal. We got several stories. 5 different staff members gave us different directions. Many parts of your casino were not ADA. My wife was in a wheelchair. Some doors didn't have buttons to open doors. There was a very nice lady that actually waited for us to take an elevator, and directed us to where we were going. I think people should be trained like her to help people around. The incentives of gambling to earn a free meal were confusing and no staff member knew for sure what you had to do. We were first told that if you were on the machines for a half hour, you would get it providing you were a new player. We did that. Then we were told we had to play a little longer and we did. The next day they said we should have done it the day before. But today if we get 100 points, we'll get a free meal if we are over 50. We paid for our meals and quit gambling. Please inform your staff the incentives so we can know.
