BED BUGS!!!

Hiding between the pillows we're bed bugs. As I quickly checked out, I was assured there would be no charges. WRONG! Eighteen days of ignored phone calls to the manager and finally the charges were reimbursed! What a nightmare!!!

Not as nice as I remember

The lobby is nice and clean, I really appreciate the indoor hot tub, but the rest was not as nice as I remembered it. There was a spider on my door frame. Note: I'm deathly afraid of spiders! The room seemed clean until I took a closer look. I had to study but the desk chair was broken and sat on the lowest setting, the desk had something sticky on it. When I finally sat down in the comfy chair and moved the ottoman there were crumbs everywhere and coins on the floor- obviously this got missed from the last guest. It didn't give me much confidence about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. I thought it was nice the last time I stayed, but I'm a little disappointed this time. Front desk was great though and friendly. I didn't want to complain to her because she was so sweet.

Close to airport easy drive to downtown

Pros: Location, clean room
Alarm clock did not work. No information packet in room. No channel listing. Receptionist did not explain restaurant, or position of room in relation to elevators, parking, front desk.

Roomy rooms!

Nice hotel! Clean, roomy, comfortable bed. Both myself and my husband felt that the pillows could have been a little more firm,Kleenex was way too scratchy. But, overall, we did enjoy our stay! Again, very impressed with the room size. Didn’t feel cramped at all!

Booked because of airport suttle

I booked this hotel because I had a late flight into Grand Rapids, the hotel was close to the airport and it had airport shuttle service. I confirmed with the hotel my arrival time and asked if they could pick me up at the airport. They told me to just call when I arrived. When I arrived at GRR I called the hotel but no one answered the number I had in my phone. I tried a number of times and thought I might have an incorrect number. So I went to the hospitality desk in the airport and asked that they call the hotel. They could not get an answer either. I figured that there was an issue with the hotel phone. After trying many more times, I finally took a cab to the hotel. I mentioned to the clerk that their telephone system may being malfunctioning only to be told that the clerk was too busy to answer te phone! I'll never stay there again.

Nice rooms

Pool and hot tub too much chlorine. That’s all you can smell and made eyes burn.

I was overcharged for a room with a rock hard bed. There were also bugs and cleanliness issues.

Very accommodating staff

Working front desk myself, I know how things can go.. I stayed at this hotel on 12/2/17 with my sister and a gaggle of children, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Check in was a breeze and the young lady working the desk was very friendly. We proceeded to our rooms (we had two rooms) one was pool side and the other across the hall. The pool side room was very warm and uncomfortable when we arrived. Upon informing front desk of the situation she quickly called maintenance and they informed her that due to the room being pool side there wasn't a/c available. The young lady immediately offered us a different room, which we happily accepted, and had no other issues after that. The pool and hot tub we're very nice Hot tub was hot and deeper than a normal hot tub and the pool was decent size and fairly warm too.The staff here at the wyndham gardens is awesome. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great experience.
