Overall: Excellent

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: In addition to the quality accommodations, the staff was very friendly and quite knowledgeable about the history of the area.
This motel was excellent: location, quality staff, great tavern next door, fine rooms, and proximity to battlefields rich with history regarding Gettysburg. If you are looking for the "cookie cutter" high-rise motel with plastic plants, then you should not choose this motel. This Quality Inn reflects the clean, quiet, and hospitable genre of travel lodges once the standard and not the exception. My thanks to the owner and his/her staff for providing guests with quality. I highly recommend this motel!

Gettyburg visit

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Location away from the tawdry commerialism south of Gettysburg's square. Beautiful views of the battlefield across the street. Comfy beds.
Cons: Bathroom could be a little cleaner in the corners and the overhead lighting in the bedroom is extremely dim.
Location: It's in the heart of the Gettysburg National Battlefield, easy access to all sites and sights. Close to Lutheran Seminary and G'burg College.
Visited Military Museum and Battlefield; walked through town; family get together.

A Stay Fit For a General

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: The fact that it was right there where General Lee actually was and that it was located right in the middle of the actual battle field.
Cons: The fact that the Civil War trustees have chosen to close this facility. This, I feel, is a big mistake for history's sake and should remain open.
Location: Lots to do. Battle field tour, museums, gift shops, restaurants, etc. Hotel located at the battle field.
We experienced nothing but excellence right from the moment we arrived. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, right down to the cleaning ladies. Our room was very comfortable. Had not problems sleeping whatsoever. Very clean as well.

nice location

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The location is right on seminary ridge & there are markers right on the property
Cons: The bathtub was dirty. Not use to that in a hotel & the shower was hard to figure out how to use.
Location: This location is within walking distance to downtown Gettysburg. it is also located across the street from Seminary ridge as well as the museum.
This hotel is in an awesome location. the room was a little smaller than expected but clean aside from the tub. The staff are very friendly & accommodating if you require anything. Too bad they are closing Dec. 31.

Friendly staff and reasonably priced

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Keep it open!
Location: Appalachian Brewing Co. next door for food and drink. Gettysburg battlefield and of course General Lee's HQ.
Yes the rooms are dated but they are clean. Staff friendly and the breakfast good. Location ideal for battlefield. Very sorry to hear it is closing, we were hoping to go back next year. Appalachian Brewing Company next door and is a great place for food and beer.

Picturesque view

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and breakfast area . Also cleanliness and comfort of room.
Cons: Locks on room doors plus shared entrance to rooms a little annoying.
Location: Fantastic location close to battlefield visitor's centre historic downtown etc
Short stay just one night as we were heading home to Canada. Room was very nice . Very comfortable and loved the room furnishings that antiqued style. Also loved the fact that the room had windows front and back. Breakfast was excellent and had lots of choices. Very well maintained and spotless. Very comfortable eating area. Sorry to hear this hotel is closing as we would liked to have returned.

Very confident for all the historic sites

This is an old style motel that provides everything you need for a stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is ok. It overlooks the battle field and there's a small museum on site. Overall a good motel.

Friendly, clean, quiet, good breakfast

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Staff were super friendly, and the included breakfast was more than advertised -- what they call a cold continental breakfast included hot bacon, sausage, eggs, homemade real porridge, and one of those make-your-waffle makers, plus cold cereal, instant oatmeal, muffins, variety of breads and buns, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate ... probably more -- and all you can eat. Nice rooms, flat-screen TV, five-minute walk to the centre of town but you're surrounded by farmland - very nice.
