Price was expensive compared to other tourist type cities we have stayed in but I don't think it was unreasonable compared to others in the area.

Think Twice ...

Posted Apr 18, 2016 on Hotels
The Quality Inn and Suites in Gettysburg is just about adequate. I would NOT recommend this hotel unless you are paying less than $60.00 per night, in which case, you may consider it to be value for money. The room TV and the free breakfast were okay, but everything else was cheap and/or run-down. Unlike many other Gettysburg hotels, it is most definitely a drive into town or to the National Park.

not worth the price

Posted Apr 17, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel was priced similarly to the others in the area, but upon arrival we immediately knew we had made a mistake. This hotel is older and more run-down than its neighbors. Our room came with a broken door lock, a set of curtains that looked about to fall, uncomfortable beds and pillows, and sub-par wifi. The free breakfast was terrible - rotten fruit, stale bread, and eggs and sausage that didn't look at all appetizing. A packaged yogurt and weak coffee were the only items I was willing to try. We were only there for a short one-night stay, and a place to rest our heads from traveling, so a mediocre hotel would have been fine... but not at the price I paid. I wouldn't be leaving a review at all if the rate was more reasonable... maybe half of what we paid.

Perfect

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options. Just like every other hotel, the eggs weren't quite cooked all the way through so I skipped them. The only disappointment is that it was the same options every day. Usually you'll get a different meat or fruit throughout the week...but overall it was nice to have something warm to eat. The pool area was clean. Pool is not heated at all and was still pretty cold even though it was indoors...the hot tub is only set to 89 degrees so it felt like sitting in a warm bath. After a long day of hiking around the battlefields it was nice to sit in for a minute, but definitely not up to the standards of most other hot tubs. It was located about a 5-8 min drive from the battlefields and other touristy locations. The wifi was fairly sufficient compared to other places I've stayed recently. Our room was spacious with 2 queens, fridge, microwave, and ample outlets to charge phones, camera batteries, laptops, etc. all at once. If you have to laundry here the machines do take a while. It took about 2 hours to wash/dry one load. Overall this was a great stay and we will be staying here again when we come back this summer!

I was there overnight on business

Posted Apr 12, 2016 on CheapTickets
Pros: The location is good, and the bed was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Fix and clean the heater/AC. No one wants to be breathing the air that is pushed through that much dirt. Caulk is cheap. Re-caulk and clean the tub.
Location: Gettysburg is an amazing place. There are activities all year long. There are all the standard eating places plus a few good local eateries.
Easy to find. Hotel front desk staff were pleasant. Room was very cold when I got there. The vents in the heater were very dirty and there was debris visible through the vents. The heater was very noisy and very difficult to regulate for even heat. The fan in the bathroom was really loud and the tub did not appear clean. Caulk around the tub had mold and rust stains and was very poorly installed. I am in this area often, but will probably not stay at this hotel again.

Did not lean room

Posted Apr 10, 2016
Pros: The pool was nice, and it was close to attractions.
Cons: Attitude of staff and how to properly treat a guest
Location: Gettysburg Pennsylvania , battlefield tours, musems
Skipped cleaning our room because it was raining in am, and we did not leave our room till late morning when it stopped, did not come back to it even though we were out for 7 hours after that. I asked the girl at the desk, she was nasty and told me we must if had our do not disturb on the door. I have stayed in hotels all over and my room has never been skipped, nor has an employee ever told me that's how it's done . As a guest on vacation I do not need to leave my room early in the morning so the staff can clean, they should do so when I leave. She did not offer to get to it just had someone bring us towels, but did not take dirty ones away. I was very disappointed in their attitude. Would not return

Only stay there if you don't need a bathroom!

Posted Mar 10, 2016 on Hotels
The Bathroom was DISGUSTING! MOLD and GRIME ALL OVER! The rest of the room was fine... but I avoided going into the bathroom. I used the public one down the hall! When I told the young woman, Bree, at the desk that the bathroom need to have the mold removed and the tub properly cleaned instead of just taking the information, she proceeded to argue the point!
