Bed bugs!Posted Oct 20, 2015
When calling to confirm the reservation the lady on the phone was very friendly.. Arrived around 9pm on a Friday.. Walking in we thought this is nice.. Man at The desk was very friendly.. Got to our room and it had a funny musty smell..inspected the bed as I always do when staying at a hotel and found bed bugs...We went to the front desk and told the man working and he offered to switch room..I polightly declined.

Not as close to Gettysburg as I had hopedPosted Oct 11, 2015
The hotel and staff were very nice. Unfortunately there was an overwhelming smell of cow manure outside which I know they can't control but seeing as the hotel is located next to a farm, I feel that should've mentioned. I also had this hotel pop up on Expedia as a hotel near Gettysburg which is not true. It's a 40 minute drive

We had a non-smoking room that smelled terrible and was obviously used as a smoking room. My husband is allergic to smoke and they would not change the room out, just gave me air freshener spray to Souray the room myself.

Dirty and UnprofessionalPosted Sep 21, 2015
The room had stains on the wall. Their were stink bugs throughout the hotel. When we placed our reservations we were told we would be adjacent to our friends, that did not happen. Many guest had problems with their keys working. I've stayed at some shady places before, but this tops them all. Gross. Two of the staff members were friendly but the lady on night shift was not....she even called our friends at six in the morning to tell them she was going to charge their card for eleven dollars. It was a nightmare.

Relaxing, stress free atmosphere.Posted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: The room was clean, well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. Easy to get to as well as where we wanted to go.
Location: Easy location to any direction. Short distance to Amish Scenery. There are many places to shop, eat as well as places to explore.
The front desk staff was friendly, helpful. The lobby was inviting and clean. This was the best time to take a vacation and stay at a well kept Hotel.

Fair locationPosted Aug 25, 2015
Cons: Fix the bathroom floor. A guide to TV shows. A new remote.
Needs maintenance and the staff needs training in customer service.

Met my requirements and expectationsPosted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed here two nights and used the location for business trips in the area. It was what I wanted: a clean, safe, inexpensive room. The amenities are modest but they are compatible with the price. I would stay here again under the same circumstances. Got value for my money.

This one is a bit harder to rate than other hotels we have stayed at. I suppose it is good value for the money. Our reservation wasn't right since we asked for non-smoking and they didn't have any when we arrived. But the clerk found a small suite (NS) for $10 more (should have been given and not charged more for due to error). The room was in the process of being remodeled - not quite finished... None of the lights in the room worked nor did the TV in the bedroom. Subsequently found that folks before us had unplugged everything including the DirecTV hook-up. Once we fixed all of that it was Ok. The manager even came to the room to try to help us get it back to Ok. It is convenient to the Interstate. Probably wouldn't stay there again, although I'd have to admit that they tried...

Early check-inPosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: The staff and the pillows.
Cons: I think housekeeping should spend a little more time in the room. The bathroom could have been cleaned a little bit better.
Location: Chambersburg mall was close as was the Gettysburg National Military Park. So is Shippensburg University!
WE arrived earlier than expected and I asked about early check-in. As wonderful as they were they allowed us to check-in 2 hours early. The room was comfortable and for the most part clean. The pillows were the most comfortable I have ever used at a hotel.
