Beautiful setting and view
Posted Nov 15, 2016
We have been to and stayed in Gettysburg several times and decided to try something different. It is a lovely setting and not far from town but enough of a drive that you cannot walk into town or the battlefield areas. Parking was never much of an issue this time of year (Mid-November). There was a wedding going on at the facility that weekend, what a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding. A small issue was the parking. There are several cabins on the property and where we were there were 3 other cabins, plus a smaller addition on our cabin and they were all full this weekend. There are only 2 parking spaces available for all those cabins. So our car (and our daughter's car since she met us there) had to park over by the main building. It really wasn't too far from our cabin although there are cabins much further away that it would've been more difficult to haul luggage to if you needed. The staff was very friendly-check in & out were so easy. We really didn't have any problems so we didn't need to see the staff for anything. And I guess when I made the reservations I didn't understand what I was getting. I thought I reserved a 2 bedroom suite with a fold out sofa. Each room having a queen size bed. But it was actually a 1 bedroom with 2 queen bed. There is an adjoining door to another bedroom (which was locked as there was another couple renting that room). So I was a little disappointed we didn't get what I thought we were from the pictures I saw online.
