NH Gent Belfort

Hoogpoort 63, Ghent 9000 - Map
"Nice Hotel in Great Location in Downtown Ghent"
We stayed for a few days on a combination business and pleasure trip, and the NH Gent Belfort was a good choice. From the hotel it was easy walking to the university, the business school, and many of the famous cathedrals and tourist attractions. The hotel is only a few blocks from the river and there are many restaurants and shops within a ten minute walk. Park your car and enjoy the city.

NH Gent Sint Pieters

Koning Albertlaan 121, Ghent 9000 - Map
"Conveniently located"
Walking distance from the train station and the trams, a couple of ATMs nearby, lots of dining options in the area (including vegetarian). It's very clean and quiet. Facilities are outdated (elevators, sink, bathtub, toilet, etc.) More like a 3 star hotel than 4, but it is fair for the price.

Pocket Guide: East Flanders Ghent NH Hotels

The heart and soul of Ghent is the picture-perfect, car-free Old Town. Tour boats ply the Lys River, with the medieval guild houses of Graslei and Korenlei streets casting their reflections upon the placid waters. St. Bavo's Cathedral houses the magnificent Lamb of God altarpiece, painted by the van Eyck brothers in the 1400s. The Gravensteen Castle, built in the 1100s, is another must-see.
