In a peaceful, leafy residential area
A very friendly hotel located within easy walking distance of the town centre while in a peaceful, leafy residential area. Breakfast was very varied and ample and they catered for all tastes. Nice pool too, which wasn't used by many.

Overall very nice hotel. I would recommend and will stay there again. The staff is friendly but seemed understaffed so they rarely answer the phone and you likely have to go down the reception to talk to them. Great breakfast buffet. If you are in the summer make sure your room has AC as it get really hot. They charge extra fee for AC.

Wish they could do something about it.
Mostly good things, but unfortunately the room did not have air-conditioning on a hot July night :'( so I opened the windows wide open to cope with the heat but still had a bad night sleep due to noise (music) coming out from a nearby nightclub or house party but to be fair I must say that I don't think is the hotel's fault and I guess little they could do about it, but really made the experience worse than it should.

Total waste of money.....
Considering the hotel in a developed country "Germany", I was not worried about the hotel. To my surprise when I reached hotel I was given single bad and I was able to get a Queen bed after lot of argument (I booked King size). Then there was no AC in my room and I was given a small table fan when I asked for AC (It was almost 28-30 C). Being in developed country, we expect that Internet should be good. I had worst experience of my life when dealing with Internet. We get better Internet in India and Africa Hotels. Coming to breakfast, there were not many options, specially for vegetarian. Even for boiled eggs, every morning I had to request and then they use to bring from kitchen. One more thing to add, you will find spiders and insect easily in the room (sharing the photos i took in the room). Shocked to have this bad experience in Best Western. I have stayed in Best Western hotel in other part of world but they are far better than what I faced here.....

Modern hotel in a beautiful setting
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. If the weather is nice i wouldn't stay anywhere else. I had a suite which was too big if anything for one person but very reasonable for the price. Excellent facilities, nice big modern tv and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was very nice with a wide selection to choose from. We ate lunch and dinner there and again the food was brilliant although not the cheapest. Only downside i would mention is that i was there in June and the weather was very hot but the rooms don't have any aircon so did get very hot in the room. The setting is amazing with plenty to do on the lake, highly recommend swimming in the lake from the slip way near the ferry.

Overall fantastic experience
You are welcomed with a fresh fruit bowl at reception. In the room a complimentary bottle of what awaits you and if you need to relax from your journey, the totally new swimming pool and sauna will help you relax. Had a great stay. Breakfast buffet was offering a great selection of quality food and drinks.

Very clean room and hotel overall. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. I had a single room, but it didn't have A/C. That was my only problem with my room. I'm a little on the hot side so I need to have A/C, some people that's not a problem. Overall very good hotel, would definitely stay again.

Acceptable for one night, but could do better
Nice but bland hotel. Our room was small but had a balcony, although only one chair. More than one night and it would have been claustrophobic. Parking (not free,despite suburban location) was very tight, maybe they were repaying half but finding a decent space was difficult. Breakfast was uninspired.

Quality at a fair price

One of the quite few three to four star hotels in Giessen. We had a clean and comfortable room and good service. It is in close walking distance from the shopping district in the city center. Parking space - a scarce ressource in Giessen - is available (extra fee).

Great hotel, really loved it!
We were very surprised at the very high level of standard in every aspect throughout the hotel. Loved it so much that as we regularly have to fly and stay in Germany; we have decided to make the Best Western hotel our first choice of hotel (if available) from now on. Really added to the whole trip to make it very special!
