No heat

I booked on line and looked good but could not open the room. Took half hour. Got put in different room with no heat. Called asked for heater and please turn on heater. Another hou r went buy. Still no heat. Brought me a heater but never got hot to work. Frozen all night ... could not sleep. I won't do that again. Should have given me upgrade. I would not stay here again.

Our lead Guest Service Representative remembers your stay as she was here at check-in and when you checked out of the hotel. She really enjoyed chatting with you and she was surprised by your review. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay. One of the worst experiences is having a cold room. The long wait times you described are completely unacceptable. For some reason, these descriptions do not match our records. We would like to chat with you to better understand what happened. I apologize for the issues, and we will discuss this review with all of our team members. Our lead Front Desk Guest Service Representative checked you into the hotel before you went out for dinner and shopping. When you returned, the door didn't work. When it wouldn't open for her, she looked at two upgraded rooms on the first floor and offered you an upgrade. Our records show you declined the upgrade because you wanted a smoking room because you wanted a smoking room.Unfortunately, all of our suites are non-smoking. Our record show that after moving your room, she returning within 5 minutes to adjust the heat in the room and felt hot air blowing. She also brought a space heater to help warm the room. I'm sorry if both heaters failed that evening. I wish you had let us know it still wasn't warm enough in the room, and our chief engineer could have addressed it for you. We will reach out to you to discuss this matter further and better understand what happened. Thanks again for your feedback and for choosing The Ramada Plaza Gillette. Pros: pool in center
the hotel was very nice. the idea of the pool in the center of the hotel is very nice for families with children. the room was clean and the staff was very nice.

Front desk staff very nice. Room we were to stay in should never have been offered to a guest spending that kind of money. The sheets were ripped, there were holes in the walls and the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. Thank goodness the front desk staffer changed our room - it had a cleaner bathroom. It is one thing just to have a dated appearance, but I do expect it to be clean.

Pros: You can enter the Japanese Restaurant from the hotel
Most days we had to request housekeeping. Even after the request on Sunday nothing happened. The room always smelt as though someone had been smoking in it and my husband and I were suffering with headaches from the smell.

we were very happy with this hotel. Large pool and great breakfast. there is a bar and a restaurant right in the hotel. Although we didn't get to go to either we would have loved too. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Pretty run down

There is not always someone at the front desk waited 15min to check in for staff to show up. Old needs updating including pool area. Leftover food left in refrigerator. I will say breakfast was good.

Pool was unusable because a light had popped out from the wall, and beds were very squeaky and loud. Would not stay there again, or recommend.

Dear Guest, I'm sorry the pool light had come unattached. Unfortunately, sometimes kids yank on the light while playing in the pool and it came out. Our Chief Engineer put in bigger concrete anchors to make it harder to remove. It was recently recertified by an electrical contractor and the contractor added the newest GFCI breaker for the lights to further improve safety. I hope you'll come back and visit.
